For the people who say its iris can be easily hacked....do you guys have enough brains I bet you dont have enough skills to hack it right away and even the resources needed for it are not avail in market so do your best and just act as stupids nothing else

Samsung has declared that AOD uses 1% each hour. So, with that, it is very normal for an S8 to use up 6% battery in 6 hours. If you don't have the AOD turned on, you should change your SIM to a different network provider or check your network bands with S8's manual and make sure it supports that perfectly. Otherwise you shouldn't have any problem. It might happen that your device got a bad battery. Why don't you take it to the warranty? I remember I suggested you to do it earlier.
      I'm using my S8 since 8th May, 2017 and every time I'm getting 5hr+ SOT after the first two days. The average point of screen on time for a phone (now-a-days) is 4hr, S8 is doing better than that.
      And if you don't like S8 that much, there is still time, people are still looking for S8, so sell it as soon as you can and move on. Unlike you, we are facing no problems at all. Just because your one device is facing a problem, that should not mean that all S8s are bad. You won't be able to show me a single model from any manufacturers where a few of the devices didn't go wrong. That is why they have support team and the warranty.

            I'm really getting tired of people who doesn't read the whole sentence (thus don't understand) or doesn't understand because they lack the knowledge about the subject (but pretends to have done PhD thesis on it) or doesn't want to understand at all.

            Dear "The User", even before you addressed this iris issue, I posted a comment, giving a link to a YouTube video which shows how to do the hacking if iris scanner. If you watch it, you'll know how hard it is. The links you sent are just writings, can say something and readers may understand something else (which usually is the case). Watch the video on your "dailystar" link (the same video that I suggested in my post) and you'll know how hard it is to fool the iris scanner. And for supporting my words, please read my previous comments in this forum on iris scanner hack.

            Dear "An Android User", I seriously don't understand why people don't read the whole lines before commenting stupidly. I said no other phone can compete with S8, but in which category? Definitely in THE VISUAL LOOKS of the devices. Do you really think that I'm stupid and will tell something like that after devices like HTC U11 got released? Pfbhtfht. Stop watching yourself in the mirror and read the comments thoroughly and carefully.
            And yes, I told that iPhone is prestigious. So is Samsung, Sony and mainstream manufacturers. It's the brand value that companies want to increase. No matter what I say, Apple still has better brand value than Samsung. That's why Apple's not-much-inside (talking about software here) devices sells more with higher price tag than Samsung's almost-everything-inside.
            If your dad never used 3D touch, then he doesn't know how to use it. But don't say that 3D touch is unnecessary, it's not. If you start using things like 3D touch (by Apple), edge display (by Samsung), floating apps (by Sony), dual screen multitasking (by Android Nougat & Samsung), then how will you understand that they ease your usability? I have a Galaxy Note 12.2 tab which has the ability to show four screens at a time in split screens and up to five floating apps at the same time. Using the tab like that ease up my work. I don't have to switch from app to app, all are in front of me. Similarly, 3D touch helps you to open a particular function of an app without opening the app and click your way to that function. If you have never used those "gimmicks", I suggest you do. Then you'll understand that those are NOT GIMMICKS, but actual help on usability.
            Once again, Korea and China are two independent countries and they deserve the respect that they are doing things by their own. LOL, if they are that worse, why a company like Apple is so eager to manufacture in China? Cheap labor cost? Well, in my book, that's China's credit. And if you don't think so, move your American factories from China (if you can afford it).

            Last, but not least, dear Mr. "no name" $!-!!t, you say you are an engineer. Tell me, what do you make? Lego houses? Else why are you still after bacteria? LOL. Last time I checked, the spelling is WATERPROOF, not WATERPROFF. You should have known if you were a REAL engineer. (Don't tell me it was a typo, I can consider once, but not every time you write it). Well, the people who repair the phones in our country also love to call themselves as "engineer". But truly, they are not. Same are you. If you were an engineer, why are you after bacteria again? ROFL. You agreed that the heat is transferred through the heat sink and/or dual pipe coolant. But through what? Does a mobile phone have fan like PC/Laptops do? They don't. So the heat is transferred to the back panel (which is made of glass or Aluminium). That's why when we play heavy games, the back feels warmer than normal usage.
            When you are talking about numbers and giving reference of two devices' difference in paper, you just can't randomly puck a number, you have to write the fact. What? Didn't you learn that in your Engineering classes?
            And Mr. Full of $|-|!t, you are still avoiding my questions, or too afraid to answer them altogether. But still, here are my questions (written again) for you:
            1. In which sense S8's glass panel felt plastic to you? Please explain in details.
            2. Name the phones which have "matte back" but feels like glass.
            We would be honored if your brain can come up with sone realistic answers for my questions, Mr. Engineer. Please, don't even write anything else before answering these questions and prove yourself as a fool in front of everyone again. Eagerly waiting for your educated engineering answer.

                  Bro , pixel also need to compare with screen size. thats why they come out with ppi...
                  i am talking about phone with 5 inch 1080 which has 441 ppi compare with s8 with 570 ppi.. yes it is only 29.25170068 % increase only. i am giving 10% just a reference to why it is so low only.... for your info from 1080 to 4k its 4 times more pixel and to 8k its 16 time more not just below 0.3 times.... its is a gimmick to differentiate between a5 2017 and flagship... wats theuse of 0.3 time increase in pixel???

                  bro i am an engineer ... u try to talk heat with me??? where is the speaker located?? it is outside the phone far from ic.... for waterproff they will have some insulation to prevent water to go in the phone through the charging hole speaker or any hole u can imagine... where is the heat generate?? of course in the main ic.... can water or bacteria go inside of course no...thats y heat also cannot go out.... so how they dissipate heat ??? of course through heat sink or dual pipe coolant... remember the notoriously high heating snapdragon 810 ?? sony tame the beast by using dual pipe coolant.... search more or ask more knowledge people before commenting....lollll

Majority of technology is Chinese, Bootloops happens to a good lot of handsets buts it's so simple to resolve yourself.

                      I just want to ask the people who are saying s8 is ugly and cheap....Guys do you have one if not first make yourself use it then tell whats the problem with it Im it using right now and its the best phone in the market right now but Im not saying that you should upgrade from s7 edge keep in mind

                        Samsung phones are wildly used, they manufacture from the low to the high end devices. so every ordinary person get a chance. Apple manufacture a single traded phones making it difficult to reach every person in society. They consider only US market, anyway I am an Apple fan as well as Samsung.

My dad has an iPhone 7 he never uses 3d touch because I've tried and it just feels unnecessary.                                       I dont think nobody will spend INR 58,000 on any phone without knowing anything about that phone. People are not that much dumb now a days. I have purchased S8 after knowing all the pros and cons then i decided to buy. My money my choice. If anybody dont like then dont purchase. As simple as that. Dont know why few people are unnecessarily wasting their time here to know us about the cons. We know that very well. Ridiculous arguements going on here.
