Ask anyone if they would like more future support for products that they buy and I'm sure the vast majority of people asked would answer Yes (including me)

        But

The fact is - Samsung have met my expectations and dare I say have went beyond what was required. The S8 has been updated from Nougat to Oreo and then PIE and still receives security updates on a monthly basis 3 years from launch.

We want Samsung to change their stance on this issue but apparently there still are people who would rather live in a world full of trash and are ok with it. It's not always as easy as "vote with your wallet" when 90 percent of sold phones are broken chinese tech. Expecting one of the largest tech companies finally take responsibility in this regard is neither a bad thing nor unreasonable. You can disagree, just don't act like I'm being silly. It's time to stop this bs.

Sorry but You are just coming across like the type of person that would buy a new house and sit there all day complaining about the views from the window and the nighbourhood that the house was in.

It doesn't mean I agree with what they are doing by buying their phones. I can use it well past it's time deemed by the manufacturer, however there will be a risk involved since everything is accessible online nowadays.

Do you accept that you are responsible for agreeing to buy a product on terms that you are unhappy with? If so, Where exactly is Samsung in anyway responsible for the position you now find yourself in?

Samsung have complied with the terms.

You bought the phone on those terms!

Who is responsible for your grievance here? The company that has complied with what was expected of them at the point of sale or a consumer that bought a product on terms they were unhappy with?

They should be leading the way with up to date software and durability, instead of artificially caused e-waste. They forget about their smartphones withing three years (two years if you don't count monthly security updates for a year)....

I dont know what you mean by that. Isn't this pretty standard?

The S8 was launched with Nougatt and subsequently received Oreo and PIE. The phone.(3 years after launch,) is supported by security updates on a monthly basis.

What did you expect? What do you mean by "Samsung has shown its true face"? This indicates to me that you believe that Samsung have deviated from what is normal for them when it come to smartphone future support . If this is the case (and I stand to be corrected on this) Why didnt you research into this if it was going to cause you great annoyance?

I dont ask these questions in a shouty aggressive way :) I ask because I'm somewhat perplexed.

Easiest thing to do is put your S8 beside another and compare. If its lower in volume then obviously your S8 has an issue. If it's the same as the other S8 then that's as loud as the S8 gets and your S8 is OK.

If you are concerned and unable to compare your S8 to another then go to an official outlet to check it out.
