Samsung has always tried to copy iPhone & I made up my mind saying that its ok, it not a big issue, but now they're removing the 3.5mm jack. wow what a disappointment, releasing the S8 with the 3.5mm audio jack port was the only was to grab the iPhone uses, and now Samsung has missed that opportunity as well. I don't give a shit about the speakers. audio jack is gone no more Samsung for me. my TV is Samsung, my DVD player is Samsung, My laptop is Samsung. But now copy iPhone loose the market same like Note 7.

what a bunch of copy cats, why cant Samsung Company, Stop following iPhone, if the 3.5mmjack was there the phone will be awesome, I was a die hard fan of Samsung, But If Samsung gives up on 3.5mm jack, I will have to switch to another phone.

Hopefully the overall device will be fantastic, but I am waiting on the unboxing to make a decision.

Samsung should put more battery cos 3000mah is not enough as recommended is 4000mah as screen size is 5.7 that big one so I pass this as wait for s9 after my phone contract end in middle of 2018. Happy with my s7 edge... this s8 will be much expensive so save yer money for wee while..

I waited for the Note 7. I can't believe they couldn't fix the battery issue. I'm betting that was more politics then engineering issues. So i figured I'd just grab the S8 when it comes us but now i hear they are just going to copy apple and remove the 3.5mm port. I don't care how good the speakers you add they aren't as good as my sure 535 which cost as much as the damn phone. So i guess it's the Pixel for me. Samsung is after the bottom line. They figure they can make up for the Note7 buy selling us all a couple of accessories for S8. I could forgive the non removable battery. I just went and bought a couple of battery chargers. There are some good ones out there for good prices as well. Used them to extend my Note 5 pretty good even though i could exchange the battery of which i had two. If i wanted no 3.5mm Jack i would have just bought the apple. Sorry Samsung you kill me i'm a long time fan all my monitors are samsung as well. If the S8 flops over the 3.5mm jacks then maybe samsung will listen. Not the brightest group over there. They should have marketed the shit of the 3.5mm Jack and stole all Apple's unhappy customers. Sad i just paid 2000$ for a nice DAC that uses that 3.5mm jack..... just to many devices use that connection type for some random tech company to decide we don't need them any more.

I don't see a problem with 6GB of RAM, but I think it would be smart for Samsung to put as much battery as any other top tier phone at this point in time. I would say around 3500mAh is more than enough to support the hardware on a heavy use day. I think putting anything bigger than 3600mAh is just ridiculous at this point in time, but in the future this could change.

Ehsan, 06 Dec 2016Samsung should give 4500mah battery for this monster and th... moreFor all those complaining about battery life and asking for 50% improvement: how about asking for a removable battery? This is best of both worlds. 100% improvement in capacity if carrying 1 spare battery + ability to purchase new batteries and extend life of device. LG G4 style charger can be carried in pocket and is not much bigger than the spare battery (I would like to see a USB port that allows charging other devices also). If space is a premium, you can choose not to carry the spare battery. You can also charge the 2nd battery while still carrying your phone around.

Nearly all my phones have had removable batteries, and I've never had battery life problems except for the rare phone I got with a non-removable battery. It's sad to see it go out of style. Removable batteries should also "fix" (or greatly reduce) exploding battery problems. Possibly there are signs of battery damage days or weeks prior to an event. If the battery was replaceable, one could just swap in a new battery and avoid destruction of their phone and possible injury to self or property.

A phone with 6 GB of RAM is technically ridiculous. Give it 4 GB of RAM, and bigger battery capacity. Let's say : 5000 mAh

No home button is better way, but have to consider memory slot with sim2 slot, why did they build necessary thing at the same place, finally dual sim slot S7, but can only use one sim card, it seem like the kitchen stay with bathroom. haha...

all of these phone manufacturers all have the same problem. they focus on pointless hardware upgrades and still use trash batteries in them. they never learn that the more they pack into a phone, the more can go wrong and the more power it will use. its common sense to use a higher capacity battery. which they can do but equally always ignore. sony are bad for this too. i will say that samsung build quality though sony dont. if your device breaks down even under the warranty as mine did, sony will not honour it. they expect you to pay to send your device in, pay for any repairs (while under warranty) and if you choose not to have it repaired you STILL need to pay to have your device sent back. so either way sony screw you over. as there famous for world wide. i recommend samsung but they need to address the poor battery power issue for all users to stand out from the crowd and make people see there better.
