Apex17, 08 Jan 2019Hello guys! My s8 battery drains from 35% to 0 for few min... moreI was facing the same problem. I got my battery replaced as it was already 1.5 years old and I am planning to keep it for a longer period, so getting a new battery seemed like a good option to me. Also did the factory reset. Now it is working fine. So now I know I am not the only one who faced this problem.
Just a question, are you using the original charger? Because I lost my original charger and bought a new genuine one, but I suspect that the new charger somehow damaged my battery but I am not really sure.

    One UI for s8 looks stunning. It has given a fresh breath of lyf to my s8. Go for it guys eventhough its in beta.

S8 is probably better (especially those 2 aspects), so if you can pay more get it, don't bother the fp position... for me personally, A8 would be enough, but it's fingerprint is hardly distinguishable from it's camera

                Whoever gave this phone 84hr endurance rating must be joking. Compare this to the endurance rating on my mate 10. The mate 10 absolutely destroys the s8 in battery life.

                  not a popular opinion... but after trying a8 2018, i think i prefer position of s8 fingerprint reader to a8, especially for people holding phone in their left hand as myself

                            You advise me to buy apple, what advantages would that give me? Why did you not recommend a vast array of phones from an extensive list of manufacturers in a highly competitive android market? Why do you just say buy apple which I assume would restrict me to apple products and I.O.S?

My s8 battery drains from 35% to 0 for few min... moretry restarting you phone if not, shut off your phone hold the power button with the top volume and the bixby button at the same time for 5 seconds, once done it will take you to some different options, click clear catche partition, then restart you phone see if that works if not, factory reset it, if not well something is wrong with the battery:( i hope that helps

                                the S8 is bad its not powerful and useless yes it may have a good battery but the rest is bad dont buy it buy apple

                                  Rishi., 10 Jan 2019What's the battery backup under 50 person brightness when w... moreYou will save a bit of battery time if you are using a black theme as opposed to white sure, but it might be minimal as it depends what you are using the phone for during the day. If you are using lots of apps for example the theme colour will not have any impact on battery consumption because you are using the app. And the theme no matter the colour is not in use when using the majority of apps. Very hard question to answer without doing scientific tests and each and everyone of us uses the phone differently anyway so if someone posted they get 4 hours and then someone said 6 hours and another 5 hours what would that really tell you? You would need to know how each person had used that phone e.g call time length, signal strength, WiFi etc

                                  The battery back up is not determined by the screen brightness alone although obviously the brighter the screen the more power will be consumed. But you also need to take into account multiple things I.e Apps used, signal strength, WiFi or data usage etc etc etc

                                  Sorry but as I said without conducting scientific tests with one phone with dark theme and one phone on a bright theme and put both phones through the exact same tests, it's very hard to say what the differences are. Hope I've made some sense and I hope someone is able to help.
