Got the update today. Thanks a lot samsung. Now I won't bother looking at s9 anymore ;) the super slow-mo was the only thing that it would make me buy the s9. Maybe at android 9.0 s8 will get dolby atmos, who knows? :)

., 04 Sep 2018Scorpio, I trust what you say is true as I know that you ar... moreFollowing on from my earlier camera problems I took my phone to the Telstra tech desk here in Melbourne and had them check it. Of course when they looked at it there was no apparent problem (Murphy's law) but nevertheless they backed my entire phone onto an sd card and then totally reset the phone. They restored from the sd card and the phone is now like brand new and even seems to have better battery life so if nothing else they certainly must have cleaned out a heap of junk. Very very happy.

Hi guys! I'm experiencing problems with my phone (Samsung S8). I'm using it for 11 months now. In the 5th month when I'm charging it, it says that it has moisture in charging port but never put near water. And now, I think yesterday while playing it becomes pixelated and hot.

Too expensive to be a shit of phone.
1. I have never dropped the phone and the screen started cracking by it self after one month i bought it. 300 hundred dollers to fix it ? no way
2 The camera have a little problem that i sometimes have to hit it to get it to work
3. The battery does not last long
4 And now after one year the phone suddently stopped working.
I am thinking of buying a sony or nokia, never again a samsung or expending 1000 dollers on a phone,

main S8 get broken after less than one year. I am also thinking my next phone could be Sony, Nokia... not Samsung anymore. Sony XZ3 that should be release soon is cool.

Realistic1, 06 Sep 2018I am just saying that something with such a high price tag ... moreI hear you and I'm not knocking you for not liking something, we are all different I completely get that. Fair play. It's all about opinions and preference that's was never the issue.
It's just that many of the things that you are saying about the phone I just don't recognise and you bought (I would assume after at least a little bit of research? E.g looking at reviews, handling the phone beforehand, did you just pick the phone without knowing nothing about it?
I will just list a few things I have an issue with as regards to your criticism and hey, feel free to tell me if you don't think I have a point.
Ok, you were going on about screen protectors and how they don't fit, well to be fair that's not Samsung's fault, it's surely the fault of whoever manufactures screen protectors?
The same you brought up folio cases, I'd say is that Samsung's fault? No!
The fingerprint sensor position, surely you knew where it's position was? Where did you think it was? And the phone has multiple ways to unlock the phone, surely that's a good thing, no? Look at the IPhone X it doesn't even have that capability, and it's compromise at the end of the day, the IPhone X had to cut a whopping big chunk out of the screen to accommodate the face recognition for example, the S8 has almost edge to edge screen, and as you have admitted you really like the screen, so would you of preferred Samsung to cut out a notch for a fingerprint scanner?
You have listed 'faulty camera' the phone does NOT have a faulty camera but when you say 'faulty camera' then that would imply that all S8's have a faulty camera, that that's the way it's meant to be and that's not true. It's false information as far as I'm concerned.
Bixby? You may not like Bixby and to tell you the truth I just don't use it, but the button can be disabled and it's an additional feature, you can take it or leave it, you are not forced, but once again just a miniscule amount of research would of told you that the phone had Bixby and it was a major driver behind the marketing campaign. Tv ads the lot.
Heating of the phone, well once again I never have an issue with the phone overheating, wait, ok i tell a lie, granted it's got pretty warm when using VR for a while but hey it uses a lot of resources, I'd be amazed if no other phone didn't get warm playing or doing something that pushes its capabilities to the limit, but this phone has a high benchmark when compared to similiar devices, if your phone is overheating with 'normal.use' then that is not right, that shouldn't happen, and if you are getting issues when using a particular app, then has it ever crossed your mind that it could be the app?
Stereo Speakers, well surely you knew it didn't have stereo speakers, surely you at least had some idea of what you were buying, I don't see any reason to moan about that.after buying it, if you want stereo speakers then simply buy a phone with stereo speakers,
Anyway I will stop now, I think I have given you a wee idea as to why I thought you were not being balanced and fair to the phone.
