It was the same on oreo. No diff on pie. I unstalled apps that i didnt use and disable other ones that came with phone that i dont use and just have the apps that i use all the time. As for battery a factory reset should solve that. The screen takes up more battery. Ive mine set at 80% as the display is so good and bright. Even 70% is still very good. Display is amazing in s9 plus. As for your question about going back to oreo you can flash it, but you void the warranty on your phone and it doesnt always work. Things can go wrong if not knowing about this precedure. Im sure there are videps you can look up on how to do it. But you need to be careful. I personaly wouldnt advice unless you know what your doing. But like i said if you do know how to do it things can go wrong. Samsung are sending out a patch update for feb that will solved battery problems etc . that some users are having. I havent done to a factory reset. But its adviced after major update to factory reset as there are still residules of old oreo files left after updating. Thats my personal opinon. But its your phone and you should do what you thinks best for you. Good luck friend.
