I was on sam live chat and they had told me that themes needed to be updated for new pie software. So if they get updated then i might download the update. Have to wait and see. is everything still running snooth on your s9 plus after you updated it? Any battery or heating isues?

Timart, 26 Jan 2019How to get rid of update icon on notifications bar? Go into settings - then apps. When in apps scroll.up to 3 dots at top right hand corner and scroll down to where it says show system apps. Press it and scroll down to software update. Go into it and clear cache. If The icon still in notitifaction panal then scoll it down and Swipe software update to right and you will see settings icon i and an alarm bell icon. Press the alarm bell and just press it to show in 2 hours time. I had to do it twice. It will go away. Thats how i did it. I dont get the icon anymore. Hope ive explained this properly. Let me know if it worked for you..

When i got oreo i never did reset. It worked fine. I tried my themes on my friends phone and they are streched over the pie ui. Looks awful.

Still didnt solve the problems. She tried hard reset still having problems. I warned her not to download it. Dont know what samsung was thinking pushing this update out too soon. The beta was given to certain users to try it out and report any problems back to samsung so they could be checked and solved. Apparently Not all problems were reported. I personally dont like pie. Maybe its ok for some users. But not for me. If they do sort themes problems out then i might update. Ive contacted samsung and they have said they have had complainst about pie.

Nothing much difference to say about the battery working like before,
I have installed a theme on my device before and after this Pie update it works perfectly,
Only dislike is the icons pack

Maybe samsung will push a software update out for bug isues like they always do after android upgrades. I personally think oreo is better. Ive no battery problems so far which has amazed me. I personally dont like the ui in pie. I know sometime i will have to update for security patch every other month. But after trying beta pie on my other s9 plus i had to end up buying new s9 plus. I cant afford to buy another one if i download this update. Its still on pause. But i got rid of the icon. I know its only themes. But ive bought a lot of themes which i like to change every other day. Thats why i bought the s7 edge and then s9 plus to be able to download themes and personlize my s9 plus. Like i ve said for now i will leave update for a now until somethings are sorted out. Thank you:)

Maggi, 24 Jan 2019Post comment on how pie is working on ypur s9 plus once yp... moreThemes don't fully cover up the pie UI but they do work ok as such but for me if the theme alters the always on display and I change it back to normal it reverts back to the themes one after a while which is annoying in a way and I have to change it back again.
The battery life is much better for me but I did go threw the apps a little also and stopped some running in the background etc but overall the battery life is truly excellent and I like the fact that the android version monitors also background apps and helps battery life to.
I think I could easily get 6 hours or more screen on time if I used the phone till it was close to dieing.
