How can all those "Tech Guys" not use IR to control TVs, air conditioners, PC monitors, cable boxes/set-tops, AV receivers, media streamers, projectors, home automation (Arduino, etc) etc??? I'm working as a technical manager in 2 companies and I can tell you that numerous times people lose/can't find their remote controls and using my phone to easily on/off/configure/adjust anything I need is just convenient and amazing, apart from that, I also find it very useful in conference rooms, restaurants and hotels where the remotes are not readily available or when I don't feel like using 5 different remotes but instead one. Right now I'm stuck with the Samsung Note4 because apparently there is no demand for the IR blaster anymore so the phone manufacturers stopped including it in their phones.. Why are people not inclined towards convenience and efficiency but instead inclined towards stupid gimmicks like unneeded emojis that they will use 5 times and then forget about it? Instead of promoting useless emojis, explain to people how many tens of thousands of electronic devices they will be able to control for free through their phones if they had an IR blaster in it.

Samsung has run out of options, just auto or plus features. If it continued like this, one day we would end up in space! Meaning on paper, inside out one and the same thing, with numbers, to show improvement than results!

I prefer this over the regular S9 cause the ram, battery, and camera are my major concerns on a flagship phone.

To be frank, even though the S9 Plus has the most versatile and highest rated camera of any device, as a professional photographer I wouldn't be using a phone if I wanted full control of lightning, depth of field, F-stop, shutter speed or any exposure settings.

Do is work the compass in google maps on cold/startup? I.e. open the maps after startup, does it show the direction correctly (not interested on gps location)? Does the compass work without always fist trying to calibrate by hand?

having it for a 5-6 days i would say that this phone is amazing. As working for Samsung i have it since day one after it was announced and transitioning from note 8 to this one was such a no problem for me. Wasn't using the pen so much so... its super fast, very smooth overall nice phone. the battery is ok for me. the 60 fps 4k is sweet too. The super slo mo is nice but in my case iam not so interested in. the AR emojis are not my age thing but they are kinda OK ;D. Also the new hyper-knit original case is amazing i love it and i have it. also the protective stand cover is amazing
The landscape multi-window mode is so amazingly fast, android 8.0 is a rocket. Very smooth. also i noted the Map app is so faking 100 % more smooth navigating and rotating and changing stuff.
Iam very happy with this phone. Also the speakers are amazing too. don't listen too much music on speakers but u can notice the difference with the Dolby atmos.
