The thing is, that the battery degrades over the time, but that happens in all phones regardless the brand. If you buy new S9+, you won't be disappointed. In terms of power bank - yes, with the power bank you'll be great. I use one when I'm outside and play games like Ingress / Pokemon GO - at that time I use the display and GPS tracking a lot. I hope this helps ;)
