Do you think people pay £1000/$1200 plus on smart phones just to make phone calls and not play with their video cameras, play online games, social media on their way to work and back? or on the train etc..? Screen on time is a big factor of a smartphone and each new flagship keeps getting a bigger battery because it has a bigger screen more powerful CPU to do more things. Mobile gaming is also very popular and the graphics keep getting better pubg and fortnite call of duty et al on a smartphone may not have as many polygons as a PC game but it does a good job of hiding that with the amount of shaders it pushes in games that make them look just as good as pc and ps4. You can play mobile games in high dynamic mode high resolution with anti aliasing enabled now on flagship phones that sport snapdragon 835 or the equivalent and higher.

I had a s8 that developed screen burn I was told by the guy at the phone shop amo led are not very reliable. I had Galaxy a3 2016 that had a flickering problem when I put the screen brightness to low, 2 of my Samsung TVs led screen failed on me to. The flickering you're getting is a hardware related problem not software so it will need physical repair.

I really think Samsung is a dirty company and I won't be buying anything from them again I have had a Samsung s8 that developed screen burn after a few months I was told this was a common fault with the s8. They won't update the s9 to android 10. Even Sony are updating the xz2 2018 phone to android 10. I have had 3 Samsung TVs that never lasted for more than 3 years each. The Samsung TV I have now has 3 one inch lines going down the screen. They need to forget amo led in their phones it has too many problems and they are plagued with screen burn. Samsung also give people in Europe the slower version of their flagship phones the s series phones. Europe get the slower exynos chipset while USA get the snapdragon this is not fair business practices. Samsung copy apple to death the new s20 will have the same square camera bump as the iPhone 11. Samsung copy apples packaging, icons, copy glass back copy no 3.5 jack, copy sealed back case, wireless earphones, smart watch. Samsung copy all apple.

S9 is a good phone and for those complaining about the battery, I hope you bought it brand new if not don't come here and complain if you bought a used one.

Buy the plus model it has 500 mah more, 3500 to be exact.

Hi all, need a bit of advice. I'm coming from a Samsung galaxy s6 edge which recently died on me last week and I'm considering buying the S9 but the only thing holding me back is the constant mention of bad battery. Comparing the battery life to the s6 edge
would you say that it's better or worse ?

This i mean the S9 is a great device, if the battery is not good enough for you, buy 8000Mah zerolemon battery case, and stop bitching about the battery.

We cant even receive beta version.
I'm frome Algeria I tried to connect my phone with VPN from India to receive it but I coudn't.

I m using s9 for the last one year. Everything was ok, but now, sometimes, when i unlock my s9 with power button or fingerprint, screen starts flickering. I have done force stop, factory reset, master reset but problem still exists. Can anyone help, please.

Gaming on a smartphone :D is a joke, not even a PS4 can hold a candle to desktop pc when it comes to gaming, so pls dont confuse what you are doing on smartphones as editing or playing games, and STOP saying it has a bad battery,coz its not designed to DO those things, and its not our "normal" user fault that you guys have made your smartphone your entire LIFE.
