I now have it over a good month and camera is top. Excelent night shots.
Display is great too, just dont use auto brightness or use in and slide to your preference, so ai remembers your algorithm and doesn't use such higher values anymore.. battery mild usage, mostly browsing it can do 7hrs OST np, once you use it more its 5.30-6hrs.
It gets better with battery saving option, guess samsung still needs some tweaks by normal scenario - mostly CPU optimizations. Maybe android PIE fixes those, I see they "optimized" battery further with 9.0
Speakers are great, headphone jack and it's own music also, I would recommend manual eq curve.. those knobs are not ideal. It's loud too, I never go over 77%, usually in 60-65% area. Even with tweaked eq when it lowers volume a bit.
I could play all games np with this exynos GPU, even at native np. I usually play more demanding at 2220×1080 though, that 2960×1440 is a bit overkill xD, not perf. Ok that too a bit, but mostly battery.
Just keep it in a good case spigen makes so great covers.. atm using more soft variant (liquid crystal), most have hard back.
Minimal look, really cool is Thinfit, for more robust protection I got ultrahybrid
Screen, well.. I chose liquid shield stuff.. just enough to have at least some protection. Foil Is bad, glass didn't try but these more protective covers could remove glass..
I'm careful enough, although I did drop it 1x, my headphones cord got stuck in the door handle and it pulled the phone from my pocket.. fell 1.3m side then face down on floor tiles in the bathroom.. I didn't have any tough protection just thinfit case.. luckily nothing happened.

needtochangephone, 22 Aug 2018So i ask advices or really worth to buy expensive phone. I ... moreI mean.. "Future perspective" is really subjective. I don't buy high end (don't have steady income yet) devices and I'm on like my 3rd smartphone (ever). And I bought 3rd one pretty recently. And I had to change it not because old one slowed down, but I needed better camera. I would definitely still be on my 2nd smartphone. And I'm pretty heavy on usage of those. So I don't understand why people change phones every 2 years when they buy expensive ones.
On iOS/Android - you really have to find your preference. iOS might be optimized a little better, but I restart my android devices every 2-3 days (really not so difficult and not time consuming to do) and it's like new. iPhones might be good for 4-5 days without restart to get the best experience.
Camera.. Huawei P20 pro apparently now is the killer, next Pixel could be even better. And for average usage (one-two spreadsheets at the time) could be handled by any mid-end nowadays. Of course, snapdragon 845 will make device's life longer, but I don't see too much difference between that and 835. The difference will come out in a very long run and battery will die before that difference will come out.

So basically you don't know what you're looking for. If you don't know what OS you want, you probably aren't going to use the most of it, so is it worth buying an expensive phone?

As a former S9 user, I would request to either get an S8 or get Snapdragon variant of S9. Exynos S9 is a disaster. Till last month, had to format and restore every month to get rid off overheating and battery drain. Why should the phone run at 50 degree Celsius under normal usage? Pixel 2 and My new G7 are at 30 degrees in similar environment. Wish Samsung had optimised the Exynos for S9.
