Samsung clearly doesn't value money received from all customers the same.
Why is the update available in the US, for example, but not in the UK and other places?
Why no ICS for that matter!
7 months and still no ICS

Anonymous, 20 May 2012how to update it to gingerbread?? Dude! Do some research first before you comment. The gingerbread update had been released already a few months ago. It's much more faster and compatible with most apps with the upgrade. And i must say it has superb battery life.

Two year old operating system with no plans to update.
Forget Ice Cream Sandwich - it doesn't even have Gingerbread.
          No support from Samsung either.
          Get an IPod Touch instead!

Now I just got disappointed by the cost-benefit relationship of the Galaxy Player 5.0. For little ($40) more you can get an unlocked AT&T Captivate from Amazon which works just fine with my carrier.

Has anyone tried the "SanDisk 64GB Mobile Ultra MicroSDXC" on this gadget yet? I know the card is supported by the GNote ans the SGS2 when formated into the phone. Since the card is $67 and the Galaxy 5.0 is $198 on Amazon, $265 sounds like a sweet deal for a WiFi mini tablet with 72 Gb storage (maybe about 68 Gb user accesible).

Can you listen to music without headphones?

Just remember this is not a phone this is more like a mini-tablet, the screen is as good as the new super AMOLED and the game support is great, Modern Combat 3, shadowgun, DeadSpace, Hot Pursuit are games that works just perfectly with no lag or problems, the speakers are louder and cleaner than my mini-stereo it has it's disadvantages like the customization or finding an alternative rom, but if you want a "portable console", music, a GREAT camera, and the louder speakers you've heard this samsung is fot you

Internet access is very good using WiFi and it can be used for Skype, video streaming and everything else you might use your internet connection for. It's a bit like the iPod Touch in many respects but much bigger. It also has many other uses and is a brilliant device.
