I have been straggling to transfer info,photos etc to and from this devise to my laptop . Please help me.

The default document browser is not quick office.... it's Polaris office...
Polaris office is very great in this device... it is optimized for tablets and it's is very useful for reviewing PowerPoint though animation is not supported very well... but it can do the trick...

try to reset it externally
