I have the impression that the sharpness of the display is weak, which is 224 dpi. and on my Xiaomi Redmi note 4 is 401 dpi. both have 1920 x 1080 so the difference is very obvious. It seems to me that the display response is too low. I'm interested in how the tablet on Oreo 8.1 I got the option but I have not yet installed, please ask who has any improvements or has problems .

Miss or Miss are not right, here I bought this tablet a few days ago, bought an OTG cable and connected a USB stick, mouse and everything. So you do not have the right cable or it's defective check it out.

I have had my P580 for 7 months and I can use the usb for data transfer. I have a usb flash drive plugged in and working as I write this. The drive is fully accessible through the file app. I'll have to try using a cable though. Best of luck.

I got this Tab A 10.1 (SM-P580) yesterday, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it for the like 190 euros I paid for it.
The screen is very nice and sharp, the build (although heavier than other tablets) feels nice and solid. The speakers are okay, nothing amazing but alright. Performance is okay too, this version has 3GB RAM which is very good for browsing, YouTube and drawing apps.
Speaking of which, I never expected the S-Pen to be this much fun. It draws very accurately and palm rejection works very well to. Also you can store it inside the tablet so that's way better than an iPad 2018.
Also, I am hugely impressed by the software. This Tablet came out in 2016 with Android 6.0 Marshmellow on it, it has been updated all the way to 8.1 Oreo!
Considering that this is a Samsung Device, it seems even more impressive, so huge thumbs up for that.
The cameras are like the only thing that actually sucks about this tablet.
If you want good cameras stay away from it, but everyone else, especially digital artists should in my opinion go for this tablet even more than some wacom products.
              Definetly recommended.

I'm interested in user opinions and experiences how this tablet performs after update to Oreo ? It is worth to upgrade, does with Oreo come some problems, bugs, slow downs and similar things so it is better to not upgrade ?

                      Thanks.

I have the P585. Mostly using it for reading, watching movie, drawing (really love the S-Pen!!!), browsing and a bit of gaming. Sometimes the bluetooth can not send nor receive files from another device. The 4G also not working but maybe because the tablet was bought in S.Korea (it's a present from a Korean company) and their 4G are on a different wave from Indonesia's 4G? idk idc as long as I still can connected to the internet I'm fine.

The back camera is okay-ish in outdoor settings with lot of light sources, but not for indoor. And the front camera kinda remind me of my 2008 Sony Erricsson's phone. Very bad!! But on the bright side, I've been using this since January 2017 and have only experienced launcher error twice eventhough I've never update the software. Super impressed!

After oreo 8.1 update, my tablet started to lag, especially during scrolling in pages with images (chrome, Twitter, etc). Tried to clean cache, or to tweak developer options, but no results. Before the update all were smooth... Any idea?

Oreo 8.1 must be available on many places now.

Android 7.0. no update to oreo, no security update.

Ahmad, 08 Nov 2018My galaxy tab a so slowUpdate to Oreo, you can get the firmware from sammobile

If you're considering this tablet, I've been using it for the past year or so and its just ok. When I was using a S7 Edge I was using the tablet everyday and it was snappy enough but when I switched to a S9+ a practically stopped using it at all. When you have a high end phone that destroys the tablet in performance you can really notice the difference and it makes using the tablet feel like a drag.
Definitely a shout for a decent mid range tablet but for the same price you can get a much faster Huawei tablet so keep that in mind.
