I honestly can't find a good enough reason to buy a tablet unless they have S-Pen support.
Smartphones today have a great screen and pack much more power, the point of a tablet to me is to be able to do things I can't do on my S8 for example. I know there's the Note 8, but for creative writing or taking extensive notes a phone feels clunky.
I'm still rocking my Galaxy Tab A SM550 just because of how good it feels to write on it. Shame the resolution sucks. I have an eye for the Tab A 10.1 2016, but honestly, all I really want is a 1080p 8.0" 4g tablet with S-Pen support.
Not going to happen, Samsung knows that some people can't live without the S-pen so we can only buy either a 6.4" $1000 phone, or their most expensive tablet Galaxy S3 (yes, the Tab A 2017 and 2018 series won't have S-pen support)...

the worst tablet ever. super slow respond. it always froze and whenever i plug in cable, it will gave me problem. very insensitive tablet.

Under FEATURES >> Messaging, please include SMS (Threaded View) and MMS.
For readers of the opinions section, the LTE version (SM-T285) of the tablet fully supports voice and video calls and is capable of sending and receiving Short Messaging Service (SMS) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages, similar to a typical mobile phone.
An earpiece is present above the SAMSUNG logo and dialing '*#0*#' in the Phone app confirms the presence of a grip sensor.
The popular WhatsApp messaging platform installs successfully on the tablet as if it was a normal smartphone, which is something that cannot be done in most tablets.
The tablet is equipped with an accelerometer but does not have a compass, so it is recommended to bring a compass or any other device with a compass along when using the tablet for navigation.
Only the 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi and is supported, but download and upload speeds are nonetheless fast enough for some of the most common daily tasks, such as watching videos in 720p in the included YouTube app.
Samsung included a 'Reading mode' which can be toggled on or off by the user of this tablet. Turning it on slighly reduces the display output of B in RGB. Some apps such as Google Play Books automatically turns on the mode, but it cannot be turned off while such apps are on the foreground.
It is highly recommended to get a memory card for this device for storage of media files. Apps may also be partially transferred to the memory card via the Settings app.
When playing videos from storage using the Video app and the framerate is lower than when played in other higher-end devices, it is recommended to edit the video to lower its resolution or decrease the audio bitrate.
A Radio app is included by Samsung, which enables the user to listen to FM radio stations that broadcast to his or her area.
The included Google Chrome app supports HTML5, while Samsung's Internet browser fails the HTML5 test at html5test.com.
Using the device for quite some time, Samsung does update the tablet's security definitions although it does not support Samsung Knox. Despite the absence of Knox, Samsung promotes the tablet as a business device on its website.
The stock virtual keyboard app by Samsung checks for spelling errors, but the cursor may jump from one part of a text to another at times when the text entered is large, so it is recommended to replace the stock keyboard with another app.

I have this tablet for 28th of June, and I didn't have any problems! Is it gonna get Android 6.0.1 or 7.0 Nougat? It's stuck with 5.1.1 Lollipop
