This perfect for reading. The size and weight are like a paperback book. The processor is very powerful. It is just 1.5 GB RAM and that gets bogged down with garbage 3rd party collecting of data. That is easily cleared out. The camera is also not very good, but will take decent screenshots. This is a plain banilla tablet that can even fit in a deep pocket.

Hold power button home button and up button at the same time and wait to see the screen erase all data go down to yes and your device will come like out of the box remember your Gmail password before

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2019My samsung SM-T285 blacked out and is now not functioning. ... moreMine did the same back in 2017. It was off for about a month becuase I thought it was a goner. Then one day I decided to plug it with the charger again voila! Turned on. Not sure what the issue was but don't throw it away.

My samsung SM-T285 blacked out and is now not functioning.
the screen does not show anything and am totally cut off.
the cost of repairing can buy a new one.

Charges very slow, RAM is not enough, only 4gb of the internal memory can be used and even if you insert a memory card it will still save things and apps on the phone memory. Otherwise the display, internet speed and battery life is perfect. Before buying it consider the weaknesses.

this tab is nuisance! you only have 4gb of free space since the remaining is use up by the OS! inserting SD card is pointless because it still install in phone memory! the touchscreen has bad response. battery takes too long to charge! the tab weight is a bit heavy, i think the WiFi Version may be lighter. after few months, it will hang a lot. I'm using the t285 Version and it came with spreadtrum processor not snapdragon! 1.5gb of ram is ridiculous for gaming. not to mention, it can't install big games due to less space. you only buy this tab for basic usage etc call/sms.

Samsung galaxy tab A6/A7 is decent device for samsung consumers but after OS update it has been slower in performance than past so please fix it by OS update.
