What I like about this tablet is that I can used it as mobile second screen for my laptop through wired xdisplay while still having it charged. This is thanks to the small battery (although I wish it were at least 5000 mAh)

I have this tab and Galaxy Note 8. The S pen is identical to galaxy note 8. I can even fit the pen to galaxy note 8 and vice versa. This tab however has no detection system, so the active digitizer is always on and will work with bigger pen like Tab S4 s pen. From my country (Indonesia), I got one with PLS screen (or maybe IPS).

It would be perfect if in 2021 samsung up grade this 8-inch with :
1. snapdragon,
2. 6 GB ram,
3. LPDDR4 128 rom,
4. amoled display,
5. 6000mAh.

This was an important feature for me, and the fact that the tablet's specs include a proximity sensor fooled me into believing that the feature would be available. Nevertheless, it is a great tablet.

The guaranty service is not in my hometown, they told me to send the device but it is a time-consuming activity. I did some weird stuff instead. I installed (Bluelight Filter for Eye Care - Auto screen filter) by Google Play first, then activating Adaptive brightness, then put my finger on the light sensor, it lowered the brightness as low as possible as if there is no light, then activating Bluelight Filter putting it between 30 to 40 pre for night using and with Black color enabled, not the other ones. It makes the display as if you put brightness to zero. it works for me. hope it works for you and others with the same issue.

Love it. Can do quite a bit more then the specs would indicate.

Using it about a week. Everything works fine except the flickering screen when brightness is very low. Activating blue light filter makes flickering double.

is it laggy? Kinda want to use it for like note taking / writing calculations and perhaps have a video or some browser tabs on the side in split screen or in the background but worried about performance. Would it be okay for my use case? Or should i just get the s6 lite (though more exp and bigger so less portable)
