James, 29 Apr 2020I am about to have this tablet. Is it good for just using ... moreI’ve been using it for about a week now. Quite happy with its performance. It is ok with Facebook and other social media app. No issue also with Netflix and Amazon prime. I have the T295 4G model, I can make calls and sms. The only thing that’s been bugging me is the screen quality, but as what they say, you get what you pay for, so I can’t complain. My old iPad mini gen 1 has better screen quality. I believe it is about the type of LCD screen that got used. Other than that, I’m still quite happy with this galaxy tab A.

Look for something else, this tablet has WIFi connectivity issues, google it.

Good system but without charging light signals. So every time needs a look on display to check the battery charging status. Otherwise a friendly set is my hands.

The bezels at top and bottom are so huge.
Make it thinner so usable screen is bigger.
Also battery should be upgraded to 6000 mAh.
For a 6" phone 4000mah is best, for 8" phone 6000mah is best, for 10" phone 8000mah is best.

Bought this tablet/phone for business. Mostly so far love it. BUT.. there should be a setting so that every phone call could come is on SPEAKER since it is practically impossible to answer a call and get to the SPEAKER PHONE button before the lock screen comes on. Come ON!! Who would try to put this thing up to their ear to talk on it in the first place.

It's a good tab. However, at this point in time 2020, 3gb ram and 32gb rom should be STANDARD on every device.
I just browsed through a realme device with "standard" specs for 40 euros. So Samsung has no excuse really.
Kudos for getting the rom right, now just upgrade that ram to 3gb

Okay if you're going to choose this tablet as a budget option to play rhythm games.
DON'T BUY THIS
As many rhythm game players know you have to tap fast in rhythm games. especially high levels.
The touch panel of the tablet is not good
If you do alternating taps it will register as a drag gesture.

It's more common when you alternate tap closely.
Oh and the S-Pen variant which has a different processor and 1gb more RAM suffers the same problem.
TL;DR: Want to buy this for rhythm games? Yeah no. Any other purpose than rhythm games. Yes... maybe? Not heavy gaming that's for sure.
