Well, i didnt have to do anything to make it work. It has always worked for me 🙂.
I just googled to see there are any nuances, and this looks like it could help? Maybe you have write protection on your card?

Samsung , 19 Jan 2024I use ezpdf reader to read my pdf books. I have the habit t... morehm..i do the same (read a lot of pdfs on tab active 3, using ezpdf reader) , and i can highlight, underline and save files in my external sd card? you may want to research some more on this issue.

These features are only available if the pdf materials are stored in phone memory and not in sd card memory.

I just called the samsung business sales website, and they told me that since fall 2022 samsung has put samsung dex on all their business devices, which includes this tablet they assume.
so we may have samsung dex but also the lady i called seemed pretty unfriendly so lets see how it turns out

The Tab Active 5 basically maintained the layout of the Tab Active 3, with the capacitive buttons on the front, and the centralized main camera (both typical features of Galaxy Tabs from the past decade, which survived in this generation).

Now that Samsung gives us 6/8 GB RAM on their rugged tablets, it's about time the Active4 Pro successor get at least 8GB RAM. 4GB RAM just don't make sense anymore, even with ChromeOS.
