If you compare this tab s4 to original tab s its basically same device with new processor and missing ir transmitter.
Samsung should have released also 8" with phone cababilities like tab s 8.4. That was and still is the best all arounder.

Have used the tablet for some days. The Oled screen is a dream. I have compared it to other tablets like Huawei mediapad m5 and iPad Pro. It is definitely more superior than the IPS screens, very sharp, crisp with beautiful colors. I use the nova launcher which makes the tablet super fast. The tablet also has the intelligent scan like the note 9 (combination of iris and face scan) which works very well. As I also use an iPad I can understand the argument of regular updates. However, if you are looking for a very nice Android tablet, this is the one. It is real quality and the Oled screen alone justifies the price.

Well this is too expensive in my opinion! i rather go with an iPad 2018 (349$) it's much better because of the tablet support by apple the support on google side is really bad... they don't really work on the android for tablets.

All other ones also have shortcomings..
Some are worst like bluetooth/wifi issues
Still holding out for a decent tab
Price must justify quality/specs
