Past few years IOS or Android it doesnt matter the updates brings litterary nothing new only minor improvements for that updates really doesnt matter.
by the way over the time hardware gets old anyway and apps and games will still improving.
For example i play Clash of Lords since 2014 at that time had Lenovo Vibeshot for 400 bucks which relatively smoothly pulled the game so i could enjoy it as much as i could.
If i would run same game with present updates on same phone it will either not run at all or will lagg like hell.
Same goes for many other.
Updates are healthy thing but many especialy elderly people have no idea updates are that important.

Oll, 13 Jul 2022I bought Wi-Fi 8/128 for 730 euros few days ago You will love it, the only let down is that google doesn't have a tablet operating system so we could get the best optimized app we could ask for

Xiaomi Pad 5 pro cost around 300 and... moreI have a Xiaomi smartphone and the galaxy tab s8 plus, so let me tell you this, Xiaomi UI (MIUI) could never be as smooth as Samsung UI (One UI). And Xiaomi could never promise as much the updates that Samsung promised, by the way Samsung promised quarterly updates for Tab s8 series but it has been 4 month since i bought tab s8 plus and i receive updates every month.
Price doesn't always matter i didn't bought this tablet for two or three years of use.
Samsung promised 4 Android OS updates for tab s8 series and a there's a lot more really useful features in the One UI of the galaxy Tab.
I dare Xiaomi to create another Xiaomi pad to be as premium as Samsung Tab s8 plus And don't hike the price, which they have done now for their smartphones .

Galaxy have lot more and great features that all that crappy tablets do not have. A d Galaxy Tab S8 ans S8+ displays are so much more better than the crappy tabs you are talking about.

Oll, 13 Jul 2022I bought Wi-Fi 8/128 for 730 euros few days ago 730 is way too much.
Xiaomi Pad 5 pro cost around 300 and comes with SD870.
P12 pro by Lenovo also comes with SD870 and cost less than 500.
Samsung maybe aint bad but way too costly.
Price is all that matters.
Bills or hollidays dont comes cheap.

I bought the S8 ultra, the notch is not as bad as people think, the sheer screen size of the ultra makes you forget that it exists. Dont misunderstand me, Im always against notches, just telling from experience, the notch is not a big deal and not worth downgrading just because of its existence. I hope the next one doesnt have a notch.

Gotta share some experience.
I used to put the tablet on lazy pod, dangling on top of my face while I laid down on bed watching a movie in pitch black, to give some theater-like experience. The thing caused the display adhesive to loose. I returned to the store twice to fix the adhesive. The second replacement had them suspicious of me for disassembly the tablet. The first was they thought of factory faulty and the second replacement was only 6d ago.
So I told them what I did above, I didn't know but apparently when doing that the heat produced from the tablet plus the weight of the display up side down can push out the adhesive resulting of gaping loose display. They told me not to do that again and fixed it again, still free of charge though. Best service from Sammy.

I want to buy a premium - don't like the design and quality of mid-range tablets - tablet for average work and study: viewing videos, opening and editing office files... itc
Is it better to buy tab s7+? The 2 years gab (updates and latest hardware) doesn't deserve the extra money for Tab s8+? Any better flagship alternative?
Also, according to GSMArena, Tab s8+ has wireless dex mode, S7+ doesn't. What this means?
What's meant by Tuned by AKG?

We all know that there is no such thing as a perfect device and obviously, we must change our choices to what we prefer. At least for me, this is fine, okay for portability + I draw sh't which I'll obviously prefer a larger screen and that's why I would pick the S8+. The Ultra is quite too much for me and like I said, it's based on preference. If you like a smaller tablet, I guess there's Lenovo Legion Y700 if you want that or other tablets that I probably didn't heard of.
