Brought this in November 2015.
A decade later..
The display is still fantastic, bright, vivid with great quality.
Audio.. Well it's been dropped a few times so it's not great now 😂
Everything else really shows how far tech has come. It's pretty slow and laggy with most things, the only thing I use this for is watching 1080p YouTube videos. Charging is very slow so it just stays plugged in as the battery drains very quickly.
I paid £360 for this in 2015, I see them on amazon for £90 used. So value wise it seems to have held on to something.

Other things heavily degraded, especially the battery and speed of Android system work. The battery takes charge very slowly, and runs for 60% less time. After the battery charge reaches down to 10%, the device shuts down without any warning.

What charger to use with this TAB in 2024,,,,as its stock charger of samsung and other general chargers of samsung (10w) gets super heated while charging this TAb, even the charging wire gets super heated too. Any recommendations? Your opinions required based on logic and technicality

Worked great for many years. Survived OS upgrades and worked really well. Then yesterday is just switched off and refused to reset to factory. Just power cycles off. The only way to get it on is to hold the power button in. But Samsung repair centres ask for model number S7, S8, S9 etc. They do not list SM-T800???

my model turns off instantly in direct sunlight making it tricky to use outdoors. Cannot be restarted until connected to mains. What is causing this?

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2022You can replace battery on the Galaxy Tab SCheck to see if you are in airplane mode.
I had the same issue (battery often draining in a single day, even without being used. I was not using it with a Verizon contract.
It turned out the tab was constantly pinging cell towers to try to establish a cell connection (which would be devoted each time, as there wad no active cell contract associated)...turned on airplane mode (no cellular in/out), battery problem solved.
Now it holds a charge for well over a week or two without usage, and with usage the battery still holds out through fairly extensive use, usually through as much as 5-6 or more hours, before needing a charge.
