[deleted post]I don't mean no disrespect but maybe you should fix the way you post your questions first before you could expect people to read your message. It's an eyesore to read your post, TBH.

AnonD-33168, 07 Dec 2011thank you for the reply...now it's getting harder to decide... moreIf a camera flash is important to you then go with the Galaxy W. One plus that I found: in Silent mode the camera doesn't make a sound, with or without the flash. If you need something as discreet as that, then this is the phone to get.

I am thinking that... moreNot sure in your place, but here in the Philippines screen protectors are already available almost anywhere in Manila. I immediately bought one for just Php100 (roughly USD2.50), and it was perfect.

My Galaxy W having no Gorilla glass is no longer an issue. :)

I am thinking that... moreI've used mine for a whole month now with no screen protectors and still not a single scratch. Its not Gorilla Glass but it definitely doesn't scratch easily. Heard a rumour that it uses Asahi Dragontrail but Samsung hasn't confirmed anything officially.

there is no gorilla glass on this phone. I am thinking that screen will be scratched easily. Is there any protection on this phone? Older models like galaxy Ace have gorilla glass!

I would like to clear up some misinformation that I've seen in this forum about the Galaxy W. Firstly, it CAN take photos with the front facing camera. Secondly, it DOES have the needed hardware to run ICS. This is obvious because Sony Ericsson is updating the entire 2011 Xperia line to ICS and the Galaxy W has identical hardware to the Xperia Arc S which is the top of the line.Whether or not the Galaxy W gets the update will be purely down to Samsung's commitment to this phone and how many people buy it.
Third, Phone Arena's review referred to poor call quality in the earpiece but I honestly haven't noticed. Call quality its decent in my opinion. There is no official word about screen protection on this phone but after a month there isn't a single scratch mine.In short it probably gives one of the best experiences on a single core phone and in terms of software nearly replicates the experience on the galaxy S 2. A few features like tilt to zoom have been left out but there's really not much you'll be missing. In my opinion, a great phone and a good job by Samsung. We're waiting for ICS Samsung!!

AnonD-33229, 07 Dec 2011may i know how is the phone call quality? can someone post... moreFrom my experience with my own Galaxy W, phone call quality is average, it's not great but it's not poor either. For voice calls there are better phones out there, though personally I will not hold this against the Galaxy W because I can hear my callers well and they can hear me too.

For texters/occasional voice callers this isn't much of an issue, so your decision to buy this phone will depend on what is more important to you (internet browsing? FB? gaming? texting? apps? voice calls?).

In real world situations this is just a part of what constitutes overall battery usage (there's apps running in the background, wireless connections that are active, etc.). In short, the more you get to know your phone, the more you'll be able to control it.

Before, it lasts for 19 hours before it's totally juiced out with approx. 7 hours of browsing and a little music and texting. Brightness set to 50%. Yesterday, I tested it again but underclocked to 1ghz. Did the same exact thing as mentioned above and after 24 hours, battery still up at 10%. I dunno about S+ but I can only guess that it's AMOLED screen would deal a huge factor to it's battery life. Hope this helps.:)
