[deleted post]no idea bro it is not launched in uae,saudi ,india i dont know about usa.what price of galaxy sl in saudi i think it might be same for galaxy w.galaxy sl is 1300 dhirham here in uae.so i assume w has to be same price.

This phone's RAM is 512mb, but user available only 351mb becaause of samsung TouchWiz 4.0. If you want to up your user available ram, tru using another launcher, such as Go Launcher, Adw Launcher, LauncherPro, etc.... Or if you want the ram all for yourself, root your galaxy w and uninstall the TouchWiz launcher.
This phone also have 4gb internal storage divided to 2gb system storage and 2gb usb storage (internal sd). And support up to 32gb external sd. However, there's some bug in the earlier edition of this phone which are only read external sd up to 2gb even tho you insert more than 2gb sd (like 4gb or more). To fix this, try to update your firmware and this problem won't bug you anymore.

1. install Advanced Task Killer, set Kill Level to Agressive and Kill Frequency to When Screen Off.
2. in Settings > Accounts and Sync, turn off Background Data.
3. in Settings > Location and Security, turn off "Use Wireless Networks" and "Use GPS satellites".
4. in Settings > Power Saving Mode, turn off all selections under "Power Saving mode settings" pane (wi-fi, bt, gps, sync). That way you have control over which connections to activate if you need them.
5. in Settings > Display, lower your brightness a little to extend more battery time.
6. upgrade your firmware. Kies will detect your phone and recommend an upgrade which is already available. The battery feature has been improved.
7. turn off your wi-fi connection when not in use. This alone will save about 5% of your batter life.
8. turn on Power Saving mode and adjust screen dim to a time most comfortable to you.

BTW anyone here encountered the camera failed message when launching the camera app? Still figuring out what causes this error. Uninstalled the flashlight app maybe it is the cause. Will wait if it will occur again.
