whts is wrong with Samsung.....every HTC smartphone is getting an ICS Update,example HTC DESIRE C with 600MHz and Galaxy W with 1.4Ghz Processor and unique in every aspect is being left out....this is wrong...Samsung should provide the Galaxy W users with ICS Update..Hope Samsung will think about it....

leenie, 17 May 2012I'm curious, hOw did you do the update? Did you go to Samsu... morejust go to a place with a high signal of wifi then go to settings on your phone, about phone and software update. update over wifi. but first, you have to register an email for you to update..

i upgraded my SGW yesterday and i think its become faster :)im from the philippines BTW... oh and this is my 1st android phone buy it its awesome!
ok i answer ur questions its supported videocalling its smooth tested by my self :) and i never exp.. hanging or lagging thingy :)

I'm... moreNoticed the LD1 update available in Kies too, i prefer to update using OTA, not sure why Kies update never works for me, maybe to much restriction set on the PC, anyway what's new in the update ? Face recognition unlock ? Still photo in video mode ?

Additional, if their phone was rooted, they can use v6 supercharger to free more ram, and clear memory on task manager b4 starting hd/3d games, but, their widgets might malfunction.

beki, 14 May 2012this handset does not have corning gorilla glass unlyk SGA.... morewhat store/mall stalls in the philippines offer samsung galaxy w for 11,800? found one in the internet, cmk cellphones offer it for 10,990. I inquired why it was priced below samsung galaxy ace and ace plus, the sales person said it is under promo. 5 units were left as of may 12. I dont know but i think there is something wrong there. why would they do that considering this phone is top notch midrange.
