The advantage on the side of the Galaxy W is it's an Android powered phone: Open platform, easy to use, lots of good apps (around 450 thousand by now), micro SD port (not present on the Lumias) and so forth. In Brazil, at least, the Galaxy W costs 15% less than the Lumia 710. Good luck.

I own one of this things since last December and I'm very satisfied with the bang for the buck of it. It have better or equal hardware specs than the iPhone 4 (not the 4S, obviously), the Nokia Lumias 710, 800, and 900 and a lot of other mid-range Android phones and costs a lot less, without being cheap. It's a pity Samsung didn't announce an upgrade path to ICS for this phone, though.
I guess they're doing so well on the Galaxy SII/Nexus/Notes front they don't bother either to market or service their mid-range phones.

i have my samsung galaxy w less than a month now but suddenly turned off while in my pocket. i try to turn it on but nothing happens..
