Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro in the works with surprising chipset

Samsung launched the rugged Galaxy XCover7 almost exactly one year ago, and according to a new report today the company hasn't forgotten about this rather niche line.

In fact, it's working on the Galaxy XCover7 Pro. And unlike the XCover7, which uses MediaTek's Dimensity 6100+ SoC, the Pro will go with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 instead.

This has allegedly been revealed through "code from reliable sources", whatever that means. Like the XCover7, the Pro should be MIL-STD-810H certified for ruggedness, on top of an IP rating for dust and water resistance.

It's unclear what upgrades it will bring compared to the XCover7 - maybe a second camera on the rear? Or a bigger battery? Why not both? We'll have to wait and see.
