Just bought Samsung Galaxy Y Duos.
Guy at Mobile Shup told me that it is DUAL SIM DUAL Active phone and also shown me the same listed on the Packagin BOX where it was mentioned that "When One SIM is on the line, the other SIM is still active."
After reaching home when I tried testing DUAL Active feature it was not there. First dailled on SIM1 and connected the call then dialed on SIM2 and I heard the message that SIM2 is unreachable, out of coverage area.
This was major issue for me, so went back to SHOP and now doing all testing again the SHOP guy offerred me to exchange phone with BT7722, but after reading reviews that this BT7722 is not recommended I chose to continue with Samsung Galaxy Y Duos.
I have quetsion now - I have 2 SIM Card(s) AIRTEL GSM and BSNL 3G. I put Airtel In SIM-1 slote and BSNL 3G in SIM-2 Slot and Activated both SIM using the SIM Manager and also chose the SIM2 for Data Service Network and enabled the Network Mode as GSM for SIM-1 Airtel and GSM/WCDMA for SIM-2 BSNL 3G from "Wireless and Network Setting => Mobile Network" option.
Tested the internet it worked, Data Connection Showed me "H" on the Top of The Screen.
I have following questions:
1. I have 1GB BSNL 3G Data Plan, so if I keep "Use Packet Data" option enable all the time, will it still deduct the money from main Balance of any SIM?
2. I also want to know what is the USE of the option available from SIM Card Manager whiich says "receive incoming calls via other sim card while using data service"?
Does it mean that if I am using the Data Service then I will not be able to get call even on SIM-1?
OR
Does it mean that if I am using the Data Service the calls coming to SIM-2 (currently used for data) can be received on SIM-1?

Hi there is a problem about dual sim phone. I just need to have response about the notification of an incoming call on the other sim while u r receiving a call on one sim. Because it is about all dual sim problem. there are always about that on dual sim phone. Samsung galaxy y duos s6102.

i just got yesterday, cant connect it to the laptop to get my contacts, also cant understand how to switch between sims to make a call, and whatsapp doesnt connect, can any body help?
