It means that both sim is active at the same time and that both sim can be contacted at the same time. Most latest dual phones are like this. I am always a dual sim phone user that's why I know this.

it has no secondary camera,& no flash light, is its screen seems vivid in sunlight at outdoor,it runs any java & android apps or not no idea althought m going to purchase it...but its price somwhere 6700 to 9000.I HAV ORDERED IT ALREDY FROM MALAYSIYA YEAH ITS COOL PERHAPS LETS SEE WHT HAPPEN....IM FRM NEPAL.

Guys it hs only 170 mb internal instead of 512mb and it dsnt hve 372 ram but only 283 worst thn galaxy y....i hve bght it ystrdy....vry sd;-(;-(

Are the picture taken good. no autofocus so, is it ok or wat?
can play flash or not? means can play clip on youtube or not.

Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is available in Delhi region for 8800 INR.
Screen looks better... if anyone is having problem with typing on small screen, download virtual keyboard from Android Market.

firstly galaxy y is not 3g phone.
then the camare also lower than this phone a bit.
(y duos is 3mp, y is only 2mp)
and the price for sure is y duos more expensive.
I buy in malaysia: y duos - RM800, y ~ RM600

i think it's just the same as other dual-sim phones. you can't be reached in sim2 when you're using sim1 but you can activate the "call waiting" feature so that it can notify you when there's an upcoming call.
i hope though different colors would be available soon. :)

this would have been a good enough phone for me if the screen resolution is at least at par with LG's optimus net dual or even alcatels OT-918D. I own a galaxy Y single sim version, it's a good basic smartphone, my only issue is the very low screen resolution. the low screen res I think somehow affects the accuracy of what you're typing on the qwerty keyboard, and it gets kinda frustrating for guys who have relatively large fingers.
