the Samsung duos series released last year had dual only standby capabilities. I hope this model is dual active :)

Dual Stand By: It simply means that your mobile will be in connection with both mobile service providers at the same time and you can either place or receive a call on either of the mobile numbers. But, as you are busy with one number, the other number goes "Not reachable"
Dual Active: Your calling party will never hear "Not reachable" message if he calls you on second mobile number when you are busy on talking on first number. He will be just on "waiting" that time ....
Reason: Dual Active mobiles use TWO processors to handle both SIM where Dual Stand By mobiles uses only ONE processor to handle both SIM

When this will be launched ..RAM below 512 mb will be poor nd it will keep showin close some apps..why samsung cant give1000 mb ram and battry of 2000 mah as andriod consumes battry ..this will be a good phone it has these 2 main features upgraded..let the phone be little heay on weight..

fadz, 06 Jan 2012we don't know that until we hold it with our hands. however... morehai friend...it is dual active....all samsung dual sim phones are dual active..you can make calls, use internet, make sms etc from both sims by just pressing the sim change button....it is as simple as any other dual systems

As i mentioned earlier, my old samsung dual sim C5212 phone has both dual sims ACTIVE at the same time. U can switch easily from one sim to another, receive calls at the same time on both cards. I don't think that Samsung will bring an android dual sim phone and then roll back to less useful sim management...
I will buy one of these babes, thats for sure. Only the standby time sucks, my old phone (no smartphone) runs nearly a WEEK without recharging.

There are 286 dual sim phones registered at this site, neither one of them list as Dual Active.

i love this phone..so excited to have it... but a piece of advice...i think the camera needs to have a flash on the camera so that it will be all in one phone...that's the only one i think is locking...:)
