Hi, can you explain to me how this dual sim works i still dont understand. Checked my phone but i cant see the other space for the 2nd sim. Ooh and how can i stop some running applicatons that i do not use because the airtime charges are KILLING me?

Kalim, 23 Aug 2012No its not Dual Active IT IS DUAL SIM - DUAL STAND BY.
i have the phone and i've seen it in action. when you switch to SIM 1 for instance, all outgoing calls as well as SMSs are being sent from SIM 1, but SIM 2 is still active and receives its Calls, SMS, MMS and etc. at the same moment. you can easily switch between two Sims by only pressing a button on keyboard (lower rows, the second one from right). switching is too fast, happens in less than a millisecond. i think by considering the price and gigantic battery life, this phone is the best Dual in the market for now.

Thanks for your reply. Lets try this, First you uninstall all the applications and updates. Keep a backup of the contacts and important messages. Then remove the memory card and reset the mobile to factory settings. For this Go to Settings-Privacy-Factory data reset. Check at any point, before finishing the reset,it stucks. If yes, restart the phone and type this code *2767*3855#. After completing, check for a day or two whether the problem persisting or not. Dont put the memory card for this days (if it is samsung memory card never ever)or install any application. See you after it. Good luck

I've bought my phone on June 2012. Since the second day, I encountered this problem. I updated the firmware (automatic update suggested after 1 week of use) there wasn't any interruption while updating and the phone continues restarting when it's on standby mode at least 1 time/day.
The RAM Status = 233/289 MB
System Storage = 144/161 MB
SD Card = 322MB/1,86GB
Applications :
Viber
Facebook
Google Maps
GMAIL
Opera Mini
Shazam
Tango
Evernote

One of the worst phones I halve ever handled. Even worse than Nokia! Better than cheap phones like micro max and other chine brands.
Here is my feedback on the phone
Screen: what the fcck Samsung thinks about dual sims? 320x240px resolution suc big time. Atleast 480x360 would have been nice.
Bluetooth:does not work for anything other than normal phone call. Skype, fring, nimbuzz,oovoo I tried em all.
Screen unlock is hideous. Imagine spraining your fingers each time you unlock. Samsung could have enabled dual unlock like other Samsung phones eg. Ace, s, S ii, ace 2 etc
Worst of all the physical buttons are NOT illuminated.
Touch screen sensitivity is a mess. Try moving icons from one screen to other and you will know what I am talking about.
Front camera is useless does not work on any of the video chat applications other than simple network based video call
You know whats miserable? Google talk is text only... No chat and no video
If any one planing to use this as a smart phone.... Beware ... Don't blame me.... You have been warned. This is just one of those cheap...but expensive phones. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE.
