wrost phone ever made......even after rooting..i have increased its internal memory and ram...also...used almost all roms released for this phone........i am tired of it's lagging problems......basically.it's not an android it's a lagdroid...!!
Then few weeks earlier I moved to windows phone by nokia....they work at lightning fast speed...never lagged...! Finally I turned the fan of windows phone.....!!
My friends.....it's my real suggestion to do not buy this phone you can go for windows.....!!
Its, really one of the most stupid phone ever made...!!

Wheather phone memory has additional app other than preloaded app. If so remove or uninstall.Then clear memory. If still problem persists then reformatt the phone by yourself. It is easy..I am using the similar model phone for the last 2years no problem.same old battery not changed. Perhaps it may require new battery next month. Lot of internet useage still ok..

you better check task master and delate un wanted app so that you will get additional space in phone memory. or reformatt the phone by your self so that all un wated caches will clear and your phone software becomes new..

Got this phone as a replacement, as I have to send my other off for repair.
It is telling me the memory is low. I have inserted the SD card - total space on that is 3.63GB and none used up. Internal phone storage space is 17.21MB but I am not receiving text messages because the memory is too low. What's going on!!!
I have hardly any apps downloaded either. Only got the phone on 1st August.

the best phone for those who are new in world of android and also for those who have low budget problems.
The phone works very smoothly. You can use whatsapp, viber, line, wechat and all other social networking applictions.
In skype, you can use rear camera for video calling. You can upgrade your galaxy y by rooting it and installing another rom by going into recovery mode(home button+volume up button+ power button).
You can also increase its internal memory by making partitions in memory card.
you can increase your CPU also ;)
this phone is awesome and i am using it more than 2 years ( hands on experience :)) believe me its very good at this price. The phone is best for rooting and you can check videos at you.tube for upgrading your galaxy y.
