As my friend told that this phone is similar or lower than mini because same technical specification can be obtained by overclocking the mini,and by upgrading it to gingerbread.

samsung can't move on with qvga screens. I wanted to try mini/5 but went to x8 for more app compatibility and better screen resolution and quality. I'm looking forward to low end samsung phones with at least (hvga) screen

Just a 3 inch 'QVGA' screen, 2mp 'FIXED' focus cam, still the cost is 9k, this one is a big letdown samsung. Instead buy some feature phone for 3 to 4k & stop thinkin abt android as samsung has made mind to befool the consumers

this one is a failure, why has 3 inch and gingerbread if the resolution still like champ n processor not even 1GHz, at least make it xperia mini's competitor

Not convinced, honestly it is very similar to the Mini and if the price is more expensive, I wouldnt buy it. Only good point better procesor. I would add OS but im sure mini can be upgraded. Camera is worse than mini, the screen is dificult to use especially to write mesages.
Good for low budget clients that use device to phone more than anything else

worst device ....
Lock key having problem like after resuming on lock key suspend application getting lock for 9to 10 sec.
such a useless device :)
heap is also low.

so this is sort of like the improved version of galaxy mini.. it does have 800mhz processor compared to the 600mhz that galaxy mini have but i bet this is the same CPU but only overclocked since a rooted mini can also be overclocked up to 800mhz.. the design looks great though..

this fone is very good.bcoz it is cheap Android fone for simple people like me.wi-fi , 3g, everything that we want.we want only 2 mp camera which it has,battery is 1200 mah same like nokia n78 that i am using a great fone but Galaxy Y is great n Rock!!! i will buy it

This is gonna be much cheaper comapred to the xperia walkman phone!! so i dont think they can be compared.. This is gonna be a true value for the money u pay..
