I too bought this phone and i am very satisfied after using it for one month.
About your problem i think there is some problem with your sim card- just get your sim replaced.It happens if u change sim into different handsets frequently.
About charging try to charge the set only when it has battery below 10% and switch it off while charging it will longer its battery life.

I Bought this phone a month back for INR 8250.
The camera quality is good in day time but u need to adjust the settings while clicking in evening or nite and it gives gud results.
The Battery back up under normal use is excellent so far..Full Charging once on switch off in morning takes care for whole day.
The issue that stays with this phone alike in other dual sim phones is it cant alert about call on 2nd sim while u talk on 1st. So Make sure u have a missed call alert on either of the sims.
Rest the touch is soft with latest android version. The calculator also has scientific cal option which is gud to make tricky calculations.
Screen display is bright and crisp & sound is amazing in headphones and handset.
My rating 8 out of 10 !!! Cheers

Yes, how is cam quality and battery back up - I neither use net or play games, just getting crazy to own touch, any suggestion. I am fond of cam/sound quality.
