Samsung did not think that Moto could go in such level to able any apps to play on the external display and they choose to limited to refresh rate at 60Hz because Samsung did not plan that. But Moto study well the Flip form and avoid the latest CPU by choosing last year CPU but put to effort and knowledge on the external screen with 144Hz and let it run any apps out of the box. After Moto released, Samsung understand the advantage the Razr 40 Ultra was having about running any apps out of the box and choose to able any apps on the external screen of the Flip 5 but the refresh rate was already to small. Even the internal screen could be at least 144Hz to value the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 on the Flip 5. The powerful CPU cost too much that they have to reduce other specs and that was the mistake it looks like a Ferrari engine on a Toyota. While Moto choose to specs wisely to create Flip phone and could not cost much but looks totally like a full high end phone and playful in the best Flip form fact.

          The original Flip Phone had a smaller volume than the candybar phones of old.

          What embellishments / features added to the external screen are moot, nobody is going back to 3.6" screens no matter how many iPhones sell for $200,000

          If it involves reading on the external screen it means scrolling, you know what I am gonna protect the hinge and not open the phone.

              justasmile, 02 Aug 2023144hz and 120hz have barely any difference.Sadly we are comparing the internal Flip 5 screen which is a bit lower 120Hz with the EXTERNAL Razr 40 Ultra screen which is higher with 144Hz. Hope you guys understand the concept of a flip phone it is much better on the Razr 40 Ultra.

Once again the Flip 5 it is like having a Ferrari engine with the Toyota body it doesn't make sense.

In fact I will not call anyone stupid because you have your right to have your opinion and a choice to make but you need to know that Moto took the Flip form fact in the next level by using the external screen with 144Hz so you can use any apps or games without any issue and give you the access of all apps on the external screen out of the box. And that's not stupid because the external screen of the Razr 40 Ultra is even bigger than the first iPhone that was released. You see. And still Moto on the internal screen put a 165Hz for better performance while the Flip 5 internal doesn't even rich the external screen 144Hz of the Razr and limited it to 120Hz just like a cheaper device. The most powerful CPU on the Flip 5 limited to a external of 60Hz and an internal of 120Hz while last years gaming phones with snapdragon 8+ gen 1 was running with a 144Hz screen. My question is what is the use of the 3.4 inch of the external screen of the Flip 5, just for widget and few Multimedia? And why Samsung allowing the Flip 5 to run any apps through out the 3rd part knowing the external screen is limited at 60Hz? Are there not Flip 5 users try to run high quality games on the 3.4 inch of the Flip 5 while the Razr have even a bigger screen 3.6 inch? My other question is who is stupid? Be humble my friend and respect the proper Flip phone the Razr 40 Ultra although you are a Samsung fan.

If you're merely stating your personal opinion, ok fine say what you want. But if you're trying to talk like a salesman and trying to discourage Samsung buyers, you better put some credibility to your statements. Calling Samsung "Sammy" also doesn't help your cause, it rather just made you sound like an elementary school bully.

                                  been today in a shop, tried the flipper 5 vs. my moto 40 ultra, all i can say that sammy sucks big time. useless phone. motorola shines. that snapdragon gen 2 doesn't help. here it ain't about the speed that much but about usability. sammy loses, moto kicks a55 big time. my advice? moto is a way better package. end of story.

                                    No matter what you say, the Rarz 40 Ultra is the only device that the Flip 5 is trying to beat but the mistake Samsung did it is the make a powerful phone with a very poor quality screen on the external and the internal while the Flip phone, it is first about the external screen and Samsung failed to implement the dustproof technology on the Flip 5 but Moto did.

Once again the Flip from fact it is about the external screen and Moto get it right

The word is has, which is the present tense of have. ... moreIt is very simple the Flip 5 have a better CPU and camera, I agree with that but why are you Samsung fanboy don't want to respect the fact that the Razr 40 Ultra have better external quality screen 144Hz vs 60Hz and the internal 165Hz vs 120Hz. How can you enjoy high quality gaming on the 120Hz on the Flip 5 ? Motorola beat Samsung about that as much as Samsung beat Moto about better CPU. For sure we are talking about Flip phones and as a Flip phone the Razr 40 Ultra is build out of the box with the ability to use any apps that is why the external screen is 144Hz. But Samsung did not plan to use any apps on the external screen that is why they put a poor 60Hz on the external. Just for this the Razr 40 Ultra is a better flip phone. And Samsung admitted that it is hard for them to make a dustproof flip phone but Moto manage to make a dustproof flip phone and the Razr 40 Ultra is certified ip52 with water rappelling. In fact the 3.6 inch on the Razr 40 Ultra make a big difference compared to the 3.4 on the Flip 5. Talking about Jerry test you didn't say that the Razr 40 Ultra pass the dust test. And don't forget that they didn't test the Flip 5 yet. The 3 years update that Moto gives, it is enough for me because within 2 years I will definitely change the phone. A flip phone is more about the external screen and Moto get it right. I am sorry if you are hurt but it is the sad truth.
