Had mine nearly 4 years and it's never failed so i don't know why people having failures must of been a bad batch or summit but excellent phone none the less

Samsung have been slow and difficult to deal with the whole way through this. I don't expect a 2.5 year old device that cost me nearly $3,000 NZD to be useless. I have asked for a refund and will be using the Consumer Guarantees Act to get my money back if Samsung don't step up and do the right thing.

Dont update your phone, new updates burn screens like green line and pixel issues
If your inside is beoken go to aliexpress and order a dot diaplay. Costs only 80usd. Its better than paying 400 usd

Vion, 02 Aug 2024Before you buy, there is a widespread issue with Samsung fo... moreYou don't need to replace entire inner screen. In my Fold 3 5G I had such problem, the reason is that one of two flexible multiple-pair cables, we check connecting halves of inner screen got worn.
Replacement of them require disassembling of outer and inner screens.
Recently repaired it in service, labor+two flexible multiple-pair cables costs was 125 USD.

Mines still going strong after 4 years. Battery isn't great anymore but the phones immaculate.
Primarily due to being cased and never dropped.
Use the spen everyday on the screen with no screen protector and the screens excellent. No dead pixels, a few minor scratches that you can feel but not see.
I still get about 7.5 hrs screen time a day from it (obviously not from one charge).
She's an absolute trooper👌

Great phone but when it goes wrong, expensive to replace the parts. Had mine 18 months, now wifi gone and only sound is when unfolded. Samsung Agent says needs new motherboard at about half the replacement cost. Maybe unlucky. Reckon recent overheating had a bad effect as it was never knocked. Solution maybe get new cheaper model and keep the Fold 3 as back up using mobile data.

Before you buy, there is a widespread issue with Samsung fold 3. (I also own one and encountered one)
There is known issue where the first sign of it being bad (even you rarely unfold it):
1) no audio/sound when being fully unfold.
2) Phone not switching from the outer screen to the inner screen immediately. (rebooting the device while being unfold is the only fix)
3) audio will only works when only unfolded 45 degrees angle, use the outer screen only or use bluetooth earphones.
4) S pen deadzone down the centre (where the crease is), bottom quadrant, and a small rectangular section on the upper left quadrant.
5) If you see these symptoms, things will get worse like no WiFi and bluetooth functions and no audio when fold.
6) The fix only can be resolve by changing the inner screen (not cheap, cheaper to just buy another phone).
7) Technician says "There are two ribbons behind the hinge that are aging (start to decay) no matter you use fold or unfold.
