I really want to buy this fold or even fold5 but so affraid of that lightsaber attack on its screen..!! I own fold3, two A71 and its all get lightsaber.. maybe my A73 will get it too but for now its just fine..

Jack, 11 Jul 2024The S line, like S21, used to come with IP 68, now Z folds ... moreit is a phone with moving parts. it is going to be difficult to make it dust resistant because dust can almost creep in through the gaps and ruin the internals. Also at least it is an improvement from the fold5, where it didn't have a dust rating. I see this as a win.

I'll wait Honor Magic V3. I bet that Honor made better upgrades for example on the camera and slimer folded body. Samsung just made subtle changes and hiked their price pretty much like apple.

The design is good.
It is lighter than last year.
New processor 8 Gen 3.
weak point
The battery capacity is the same 4400.
The fast charging speed is still the same 25w.
The RAM is still 12GB.
The fingerprint is still flat on the side.
It still uses last year's Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Needs improvement more and more.
only give 6/10 points.

Muhammad, 10 Jul 2024Samsung is taking releasing phones as an abstract duty ever... moreI agree. They are the most costliest phone. Upgrade cycle for customers won't be for at least two years. They can bring them at least at 2 years interval, and bring real innovations at the table.
And they can rerelease same product at same price with some additional benefits to present customer, like if they released Z fold 6 in 2024, they should Z fold 6 + [absolutely same hardware and making] but having in box charger, in box back cover and galaxy bud pro at 25 % of price in 2025.
And release in Z fold 7 in 2026 with some significant improvements. I feel camera, battery, hinge and inner screen are the areas of improvement for current Folds.

Samsung is taking releasing phones as an abstract duty every year regardless offering improvements and actual upgrades, but in this year they moved to a new level, they have downgraded their phones and increased their prices.
When it comes to respect a company's own costumers, Samsung is the worst at it.
