I still think it's the best smartwatch in the world. I'm so glad I connected it to my Galaxy Fold 3. They are no longer supported on phones produced after 2021, but I solved it somehow. 10 years have passed but it is still used fluently. Samsung needs to release a higher version of this watch now.

I have been using the Gear S for the past 8 years or so. An excellent watch if you know how to look after it n where to source accessories like battery chargers designed for the Gear S n where to buy a replacement internal battery. It is used daily n paired with the Samsung S20 5G phone. Some built in apps have been disabled as the Smartwatch is no longer supported by Samsung. The watch has an excellent display n great at receiving notifications. I prefer this to last year's Galaxy watch which I have since sold. The watch can also be used to answer calls received by whatsapp messenger.

It's quad core. Just 2 cores are locked out from factory, but the actual CPU inside has 4 cores. You can see that after installing Android.

I remember jogging around Rockwell mall listening to music, receiving calls and using health app without my phone!! How convenient is that in 2014?! It clearly slayed the watch industry. Not sure why Samsung discontinued it....

you can easily connect with your Samsung mobile through application "Galaxy manager"
After sync, the language will be changed automatically.
FYI, the way of synchronization is as below :
1. you need to download "Galaxy manager" from Google play.
2. you open the application and the watch will be detected as new device.
3. there will be a number to verify the watch.
4. you need to put the verification number in your mobile.
Finally, your mobile and watch will be synchronized to your mobile's language.

Pls how do i fixed it back, i just bought my gear s from someone i try to reset it, after resetting i couldn't knw how to set it bcs is showing me a different language which i cant even get access to it again.

I wish Samsung came reproduce this wrist watch but with an improved battery. I prefer it over my Samsung Galaxy Watch, Samsung Active 2 and Samsung WATCH 3. I still use it often despite my having later models. It will be better than all these new models if Samsung can introduce wireless charging to it, improve the processor and battery life.
