I bought this watch and a Note edge to go with it 3 months ago. The watch is currently at Samsung repair because it wouldnt charge. It wouldnt charge and I figured out that the contacts werent making a good connection. Couple days later the back of the phone where the cradle snaps and hooks on broke and now the cradle has to be rubberbanded on to charge. Samsung just told me it wasnt covered under warranty even though it is a defect. Spent over 1500 with them and they find any reason to void the warranty. Since it had physical damage regardless of how terrible their design, the warranty is void. The watch barely makes it through the day so you need to charge it about twice a day. The geniuses their thought that plastic snapping into cheap plastic would be durable. Also, when you reply to text it doesnt update the phone. I really love the look of the watch and if the features worked I would be happy. But they want me to pay 242.00 to put a new back on the watch. The Note edge has a green vertical line that wont go away and I'd have to mail it in and wait till they fixed and mailed it back. Samsung is all gimmick. They want to force brand customer loyalty by leveraging your investment in them but do nothing to retain it when their products break under normal use and within 90 days.

It's cute and its curved design gave it a unique look. I can buy a $35 smart watch that looks like an apple or any other smartwatch...with videocam and call features..
the downside of my Samsung gear S?...well, it easily gets attention wherever and whenever I wear it...
Love my gear S.

I love how Samsung provide premium accessories for their phone with this Gear S. I like it even better if they sell their phone with complete Samsung package, includes the Gear S, Gear Circle earphones, wireless Samsung Level headphones, Gear VR and S-view case/LED case/Clear view case. Even Apple can't top that.

The second one was the Samsung S9110 released in 2009, which look almost like its successor, Galaxy Gear. So basically, Samsung have more than a decade of experienced compare to any other company.

...and it will be a mismatch to compare it with the Gear S. You should compare it with smartwatch from 2012.
