I'd say in terms of hardware, the Nexus S is pretty solid. Not a fan of Samsung so I didn't really like the fact that Google chose to partner with them for the phone. Still, solid hardware but nothing too fancy apart from that NFC chip.

I love the softare though! Bought this solely cause of the stock Gingerbread included!

Houghhj, 29 Mar 2011The nexus S is a great phone if you know how to use it. Bat... moreThe Truth is that Android battery management is not very good. The Phone with GPS and WIFI and 3G bluetooth, all of this can be turn off to save battery life, but the BIG Question is ? From me personally : WHy we need a phone like this if I can not leave them on all the time? On the other hand, the iPhone 4 battery performance is very good while leaving GPS Data on all time(which what I did all time). If the battery management? or really the task management on Android can be better, Android will give people more reasons to have one.

The nexus S is a great phone if you know how to use it. Battery life is one big issue, but not one that cant be resolved. Majority of people leave their gps, bluetooth and wifi on constantly...thats an obvious start. Also as one person has mentioned, unselect NFC communications. The best way is to turn off ur data when ur not using it AND to turn off 3g signals when ur not using internet! 2g travels fuyrther so this will improve ur signal anyway and save u battery. turn it on when you need it only! this works :)

bad decision from Google to let Samsung make Nexus 2 .
Nexus 1 ( made by HTC) had amazing hardware when it was first released , made many people including me rush to buy it and experience the Android within it.
Nexus 2 is exactly same as the old Galaxy S !!
              BIG disappointment Google .
plz give Nexus 3 to a better company next time .

Google Nexus S Display is Super Clear LCD. Not Super AMOLED.

Have any owners of this phone experienced any of he following issues:
                  1. Cannot attach music files to a Gmail email. (Will only allow the selection of photo/pictures from the gallery)
                  2. Cannot save a photo to the gallery when received via mms (i'm using handsent mms, but still won't work in default mms), can only save it by pressing down on the photo while in handsent or mms thread and selecting "copy attached to SD card"

Just got my nexus s, us version with super amoled.
Used iphone 4 before, but since i like android better, this was a better alternative for me, like it alot.

Down side, charging it takes little bit longer time then my iphone 4, but battery lenght is better on nexus for sure.

I could be the best choice if it has available a memory slot or 32bg memory because it is fast and the price is convenient.

Joseph, 19 Mar 2011Guys, I'm planning to buy a new phone on the 27th and I'... moreJoseph, Nexus S is the easy choice.

Desire HD has problems with battery life and have been told quite often that the reception is quite weak. I have a Nexus S, X10i, Desire HD and Galaxy S. On top of that I work in a phone store, and the Nexus S is the clear winner of all of these phones. I loved the Galaxy, however it lacked a flash with the camera. The Nexus is not only cheaper outright, but it has the flash and upgraded software. It runs alot smoother than any other, and my HD seems to freeze. The Defy is just a basic little Android, good if you work around water etc, but isnt as fast and crisp as the others.

Takes too much time to charge. Very good phne but,not exactly for laymen. No proper support, no pc suite. If you dont mind doing everything through google its fine. From a nokia if you want to transfer contacts you will have to sync to outlook.then save as csv file, export to google contacts, then sync to nexus. Even small itilities will have to be found & downloded OTA - yeah -you cant just get it done connected to your pc out of the box.
