I just bought the nexus s two days ago. It' s definitely a smartphone with lots of possibilities. What worries me is the speed in draining the battery. I found some tips to improve battery life such as unselecting the NFC from settings, wireless and unselecting automatic brightness from settings, display, display settings. I hope it wil work. I would like to find out any others ideas. Thanks!

I bought yesterday a Nexus. I am a little bit ( more) disappointed. Before I used a Galaxy S.
In Nexus a lot of controls is missing ( e.g camera controls, display setting and settings generally speaking are less).
It is true it is faster than Galaxy S but I think this is because of Android 2.3.
The weight and thick is greater than Galaxy S.
For me NEXUS S was a downgrade from GALAXY S.

Lemon, 22 Feb 2011Why is it so expensive?????I agree with you pal! for a clone of the galaxy s with just a flash camera added and a SD CARD slot removed, quite too expensive, you can get the galaxy S for more than 150$ less!!!!!

Good looking. Have problems with charging battery(stays on 94%), but can be solved by killing all the battery, rest the battery for 10 hours and fully recharged it.
Doesnt have zoom but you can download the app VIGNETE and your problem will be resolved.
Lets wait for an update to solve this tiny problems(bugs)

The new phone comes with the first 4” contour display screen, making your phone a better fit for both talking and holding. As well as the physical design, the phone comes with the Gingerbread platform already pre-installed; the Google Nexus S will be the first phone to run the newest Android OS technology.

I've been using this phone for one week. So far, very happy.
Battery life is okay. I use my phone all day long at work, mostly for calls & sms but some data too. The battery hasn't run out, and I usually have more than half left when I'm heading home.
Sound quality is great! Very clear, for me and for the person I'm talking to.
Android 2.3 is great, too. It's not hugely different than 2.1, but I've noticed a
number of tweaks that make a difference. For example, text editing now includes a marker that you can slide to reposition.
Screen is great on this phone. Touch is very responsive, the colors are bright and clear, and the size is wonderful.
