Why it is not safe? It is official update exactly the same which you will get OTA from Google. If you know how to update, which infact is a very simple 2 minutes procedure, then there is no use to wait for the OTA. Guys go ahead you get the official update.

I can update my Nexus s i9023 2.3.6 to ice cream sandwich4.0.3 but I will not because somehow it is not safe.I will wait till I 'll get it via OTA ......GUYS WAIT UNTIL THE GOOGLE ITSELF NOT RELEASE IT VIA OTA.

I just updated my Nexus S to ICS manually. Awesome. Go for it guys, you will love it. Follow this link, who want to update manually. Its official update, so nothing to worry.

JavaJunkie, 10 Dec 2011If you can, get the I9020 Nexus S, it has Super AMOLED this... moreNot really.. SUPER AMOLED is not that good.
here is reasons:
1.Fake colour - ur eye will get sick after few hours
2. SUPER AMOLED screen life is around 1 year. after 1 year screen will start to lose contrast etc.
3. Over heat - SUPER AMOLED over heat very fast. it will get really hot after few min of keep use
4. it is first Gen SUPER SMOLED - Pen tile matrix. which is not good.
overall i use myself S-LCD NEXUS S because of those reasons.

nexus s because will get ics 4.0 and gpu-video is better...games are fantastic....led flash etc...true...no s amoled

I bought this phone a couple of weeks ago and it started to lose data( music files, photos, even documents).Is this a software(Android) problem or something else?

The only downside, maybe it doesn't record 720p.

If you can, get the I9020 Nexus S, it has Super AMOLED this one has Super Clear LCD. They are both great, but AMOLED is better. I had to buy this one (because finding an AMOLED model can be tricky in Europe), it is an amazing phone!

Love this phone..its use SLCD..for me its much better then Super Amoled pentile screen which is worse to view text..

Since... moreDude, m using nexus s from long time now , take my suggestion as my bro using Galaxy S & his closest friend using Galaxy s. Only Galaxy S2 can be a better option from nexus s. nothing else,No HTC devices.There is no lag,nothing stops the phone working hard. M having 75 apps installed. & after all u will be the first to recieve the ICS update. SO, go with the Nexus S.
