The picture on the left is of the i320. If you ordered the i320N then you'll get the one that is more angular in shape. It also has round buttons which are similar in layout to the Motorola Q. In my opinion the i320N looks better, but that of course is up to each owner.

i'm confused as to which pics are the i320 and i320n. i know one is a little longer thant the other, but dont know which. I believe the i320n has all black, round buttons. is that correct? and the i320 has the white numbers? just ordered the i320n thinking it was the one shown on this page which i prefer, but starting to think i'll be stuck with the round buttons.

            SbSpecV -

Text messaging worked right out of the box for me, however MMS messaging needed some different settings. I don't have those on me right now, but I'll find out and get back to you. I'll also see if there is any kind of setup for SMS messages...

            What's up?

If you are using a Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone like the i320, it comes equipped with ActiveSync which will allow you to sync Outlook calendars, contacts, tasks, email etc. For the initial setup, you will need to have a wired connection, but after that the sync can occur wirelessly whenever you want. (this is assuming you have an Outlook Exchange Server) As far as syncing via bluetooth, I have not tried that as it is faster to just plug in the phone. And in reality, it can be set up to use your wireless connection to sync information from anywhere you have service, as opposed to only within 30ft of your computer.

Alfredo - Glad to hear everything is working! As for the i607 the only info I can find is the end of 3rd quarter... being that's that time is upon us, how about putting it at November 1st? Wouldn't that be cool? Really, though I have no idea.

Sorry. Don't know anything about T-Mobile, but I'm sure the settings are available online somewhere. The setup should be more or less the same as with Cingular, assuming that they are using the correct frequencies.

By the way, any luck Alfredo?

Has anyone with the i320n had the screen freeze and fade away? This has happened a couple times with me and I wonder if it is my unit alone, or if anyone else is having a similar issue. I expect it to be hardware related, but that's beyond what I know.

                                  Alfredo,
go to settings -> connections -> GPRS
When you get to that submenu you will see several different settings for GPRS, MMS, etc. (mine had about 9 different settings for 3 different UK carriers) Delete ALL the settings. This will leave you a blank screen under the GPRS submenu. Click the right softkey entitled "Menu", then select "add" For the name enter "Cingular GPRS"
                                  For Connects to select "Internet"
                                  For Access point enter "wap.cingular"
                                  For User enter "WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM"
                                  For Password enter "CINGULAR1"
Primary DNS, Secondary DNS and IP Address are all empty.

That's what works for me, from what I've found on the net and through talking with people.

By the way, if you haven't already bought the phone I would recommend waiting for the i607. It's more or less the same as the i320n, except that it was just passed through the FCC by Cingular. It's 3G HSDPA, and you won't have to deal with all the setup. I was just looking at it on phonescoop dot com, but I'm sure you can find it elsewhere.

Anyways, Good luck! And if you have anymore questions, I'll try to find some answers.

Used to have O2 bulky with 180gm. Waited for Motorola Q but of no avail in the market here. Saw i320n in the market. Scrutinized it before buying. Bought it because of its weight. Used it for the past 2 weeks. In my oponion it is a great gadget. Very light, slim and the display(tho small) but brilliant sharp. However for 40 above, need a pair of reading glass to appreciate the display.
MP3 sound superd. SMS great. For notes and other important software, get the 3rd party software like Agenda X and notes. Working very well. Camera also good.

Being using phone, sms, notes and MP3, this i320 is excellent. It fits well in the pocket and not that pricy too. Great phone. no regret.
