hold on a second dudes... be fair...
yes, nokia's a giant corp that only produces handphone, unlike sony and samsung, and it makes nokia owned the best in symbian, and they keep on improving.
sony and samsung which produce other electrical appliance can have their technology embedded into their phones, and that makes them unique in a different way.
must not forget about other manufacturers. they're same as these giant corps! they produce handphones as well! i personally agreed with some dudes, stop being biast. ask somebody out there, if, and only if, nokia, sony and samsung take a lead in this handphones manufacturing technology, how did motorola v3 being awarded the best phone of the year?! don't believe me?! go check on the net!

I agree with you. Everyone knows that Nokia is strictly a mobile device manufacturer, unlike conglomerate giants like Samsung and Sony, who manufacturer other electronic appliances and hardware.
The fact that Nokia stands out in the mobile phone competition is amazingly astonishing.

Unfortunately, I can't buy any Japanese high tech. I don't live in Japan, and most devices are exclusively made for the Japanese market

What do you say about that?

I said Korean labor is cheap "like" Chinese labor, not "cheaper". Get your facts straight and learn English. Sheesh!
I went to that Mobile-review forum you gave me. Guess what? Half of the people there was disagreeing about Samsung. One of them even said the salesman was like a robot. LOL!
Here's another fact: Korean technology will never be as good or better than Japanese technology. Have you ever been to Japan? LOL!
The phones they use are way more advanced. Sony Ericssons high-end phones in Japan have Bravia screen, active 5.1MP cam, 2MP secondary cam, all HSDPA-enabled. And most are SHOCK-RESISTANT, like a G-shock watch. Now they are trying to make Water-resistant phones.
Yes, Samsung phones break easily. I have a lot of friends whose phones are broken without any accident happening. One friend of mine broke his U700's screen. He didn't even accidentally fell the phone, and I was with him when that happened! LOL!
Korean and Chinese products are so fragile. And they are as cheap as they look, too.

WDF you are talking about how come Korean Labour is cheaper as Chinese labour.? Do you know anything about it.? so funny haha .! (which year are you live in now.? 50years ago?? funny hahaha) nowadays, Korean makers are making better than Japanese companies. few year ago Samsung nearly try to buy Sony Corp. as Sigle Samsung Elec. (generally Smasung has over 10 seperate dep. like Insurance, SDI , Construction etc.) shares is higher than whole Sony Corp. Shares. You are totally making non sence here . Only Jap. Technology is Top, that was long time ago.
breaking phones are depending on users .! WDF the phones constructions mostly are same uses plastic. (there are some exeption like 8800) . if you use the phone. it will make scratches etc.
if you can give me all da evidence about samsung phones are always breaking ..i will accept it.
go and have a look http://forum2.mobile-review.com/showthread.php?p=655990
there are also lots of people agree that samsung is better... all the people are not like you guys who only like Nokia phones. ! if you keep saying Nokia is Lot more better than ok you can think of it yourself.

Oh, almost forgot. N91 uses the same Toshiba DSP chip as N81, but has no EU 'volume restriction'. And Nokia's XpressMusic range uses a cheaper, smaller version of that chip too.

N81 uses DSP DAC chips from Toshiba, a Japanese company that makes their chips ONLY in Japan (so quality is outstanding) NOT from Samsung's cheap Korean chips. Plus I bet the plastic parts are cheap as well. Samsungs usually break after 1 year, unless your super-duper careful. You should eat your own words and shove them down your throat.
Of course i450 will be cheaper, labor in Korea is cheap like Chinese labor. The design of N81 is better than i450. N81 is more of a 'style' phone focused on games & music.
Oh, and for the record, you have no absolute control over this forum or any other forum. People have the right to express opinions AND facts. Just face it.

Thats cool man, ye ive got a contract with Vodacom as well but i upgrade in July, i can't wait until then so i decided to buy the N81 for Xmas, Voda didn't have it so i had to get it from Cell C. I don't understand why Voda are so slow yet they are the biggest network here yet they get phones 1-2months after Virgin and Cell C.
