This is a much nicer phone than the SPH-I500 that's due out shortly on the Sprint PCS Network. Samsung should produce this phone in CDMA version.

It would be nice if the smart phone can also equiped with bluetooth. It is a shame that it can't be use with bluetooth hand free. I think Bluetooth handfree capability is necessity for bulky smart phones.

I don't understand why the screen has two battery indicators? I think it must be a mock up screen and not the final production model.

Sounds cool. Wish it came with an MP3 player & allowed one to use the palm simultaneous with being on the phone. That way, if you're wearing a headset, you could still use the Palm feature to log a phone number you could be receiving while currently on the phone without needing a separate piece of paper & pen, you know?

This pda/phone/digital camera hybrid is a gadget worth watching-out for. I've been on the hunt for a "good" pda phone for sometime now. Having read so many reviews, I'm not inclined to go with any of the Pocket PC phone hybrid which has a lot of glitches and are just too bulky to hold to your ear. I believe the Palm OS is most suitable for a pda phone since it has all we need to manage our contacts, e-mails and MS files we need to carry around, and all that in a compact "phone-like" size. From the features on this new Samsung i-500, I think I may have just found what I've been waiting for, with a digital camera as a bonus! I just hope that the hardware is durable and software/phone integration won't have major glitches. Can't wait for it to arrive...

Samsung and the wireless carriers have taken so long to make this phone available for customers that it's almost a joke. Sprint says "any day now", but they've been saying that for nearly a year.
