The first usage of the GPS module usually needs quite long time to initiate.
To initialize the GPS module just go somwhere outside start the internal GPS Data application, choose Position and wait...
Usually the first time the GPS is used takes around 30 min(it can be more or less). After this first initialization, the GPS module will initialize faster ~1-2 min (or less) depending on the usage.
I solved the first initialization issue with leaving the Phone in the car having the GPS Data application running...and it worked...

Thanks for your help....but still no connection what to ... moreI didn't change DNS Address in IPv6 settings (Automatic)
In IPv4 settings I change the primary DNS address but the secondary DNS address remain 0.0.0.0.

Thanks for your help....but still no connection what to do after the advanced setting tab ie. IPv4 settings (a) Phone IP Address (b) Subnet Mask (c) Default Gateaway (d) DNS Address and in IPv6 Settings (a) DNS Address .
I am confused here ..please advise

kongming0gn, 03 Oct 2008guys, when using apollo, you need to choose MODEM CODE file... moremy problem is this.
when i open apollo and enter the modem and pda code. all download button is not activating. so i cannot click. i dont know y... and when we start phone with 4 and 7 with on button it shows all download in phone.. not modem download. maybe some wrong.. pls instruct me very soon about this issue... pls... help me..

yesterday i bought this i550w.
I got stuck with it it is asking a code to unlock the
keys. I am stuck without help no manuals. pressing *
does not help.
Can anyone please HELP?

I have been using the SGH I550 since last 6 months and am very happy with it....., though i have a problem. When my office Wireless Lan (3com router) internet connection was in unsecure mode , i could easily connect to the internet, view websites,Download, read e-mails etc ..., but since i changed the security mode to WPA/WP2 ...I am not able to connect at all. I have access point also... I have input the pre-shared key also but but it does not help. The asteriks which appear in the key box does not change.
Though when i access a unsecure network it is ok.
I restored to factory setting and tried again but it is the same problem....Please somebody advise me.. Please i really nees help here.Thankx in Advance.

Please anyone help me out i have purchased Samsung SGH i550 : i cant answer the calls through the hands free when i am listening the songs i have to remove the hands free and talk then y is a mike provided in the hands free thats inserted in the Multi Finction Jack slot.please
