Hi - I have a question, i bought this phone yesterday and in MicroSD there is already Navigon installed and ready to use, when i open mobile navigator there are 3 options Buy, Activate, Test when i click on Test there is option Show map when i click it says GPS Receiver found and after that "Waiting for valid GPS position" and nothing even i tried for so long but its stuck in same screen why its like that why i cant see navigator is there any setting please advice, my location is Dubai, UAE

- Samsung i550W use S60 browser with mini map, SE G700/G900 using Opera Mobile for Symbian UIQ. U can installed Opera Mobile for Symbian S60 to Samsung i550W. Symbian S60 more flexible than UIQ.
- SE G700/G900 using touchscreen display in 2.4". Samsung i550W more larger with 2.6" but no touchscreen.
- Samsung i550W can support(network) UMTS(3G), HSDPA & WiFi. SE G700 only support UMTS, SE G900 support UMTS & WiFi minus HSDPA. HSDPA 7 times faster than UMTS.
- Samsung i550W using trackball navigation, SE G700/G900 using tradionally D-Pad. D-Pad more easy to use for the first time.

then u cant use navigon software coz there is no maps of India

So Use GOOGLE MAPS

U should have at least EDGE connectivity to use or else in GPRS connectivity it is too slow

Be careful it will drain your battery quickly

- Samsung i550W are big & slim(11.5x5.3x1.38 cm). Nokia E51 more slim(11.4x4.6x1.2 cm). Samsung i550W design are conservative, Nokia E51 more elegance.
- Samsung i550W come with trackball navigation & tiny keypad. Nokia E51 with tradionally D-Pad & large keypad. I just want to say Nokia E51 are more ergonomic & easy to use for the first time.
- Both are using same OS : Symbian 9.2 s60v3.1
- Samsung i550W have larger screen display with 2.6" & Nokia E51 only 2"
- Samsung i550W using CPU TI OMAP 2430/2431 with clock speed 330MHz/450MHz(for 2431 type) & Nokia E51 with CPU Freescale 369MHz. Freescale are more cheaper because lack of 3D Graphic acceleration.
- Samsung i550W have 128MB RAM, Nokia E51 have 96MB RAM. More RAM, more application u can handle in the same time.
- Samsung i550W have 3 megapixel autofocus camera with flash. Nokia E51 only 2 megapixel camera, no autofocus, also no flash.
- Both phone have the same connectivity & network like HSDPA & WiFi. But Nokia E51 lack secondary camera, it's mean no video call option.
- Memory internal : i550W = 150MB, E51 = 130MB. Both can handle MicroSD
- Samsung i550W have GPS feature with A-GPS. Nokia E51 lack this feature
- Samsung i550W sound quality far better, thank's to dedicated audio chip & 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia E51 poor in audio because it's bussiness phone not multimedia phone like Nokia N-Series.
- Samsung i550W have radio FM but no RDS. Nokia E51 radio FM have RDS.
- Samsung i550W have 1200 mAh battery & Nokia E51 with 1050 mAh.
- Other feature are the same.

renan, 21 Jul 2008i cant play wmv file on my mobile.Please helpReal Player in Symbian S60 device only support 3gp,mp4,rv. If u want better video playback in Samsung i550w, please installed 3rd party application like :

- DivX Player, support divX & Xvid format. U will please with this application because it's free.
- Smartmovie by Lonely Cat Games, support divX & Xvid format.
- TCPMP, support mp4,divX,Xvid,mp3,OGG,AAC,WMA,etc. This application also free, but user interface are not good & difficult to handle.
- Core Player, support mp4,divX,Xvid,mp3,OGG,AAC,WMA,etc plus equalizer,playlist,widening surround mode,16:9 widescreen mode,etc. I recommended this application.
- DVD Player, support avi,mp4,etc (not recommended)
- WMV Player, support wmv (not recommended)
- etc
