my phone was stollen but i got it back only to find whoever stole it put a pattern on it that unlocks it therefore i do not know what it is.. anything i can do to unlock my phone are there any other ways ive not long bought it and dont want to buy another one at the exspence of it being stollen?

Why can't i use my external memory? it says i have no memory but i have a 2gb memory card empty

I have had mine for a year and five months. still works like a beauty. upgraded it to froyo about 7 months ago, next is gingerbread on cyanogenmod. won't get another phone in a long time.

i own this phone for the past 3 years.. it was terrible with 2.1. felt it lacked in everything and another dumbphone. but something made me keep using it.. samsung never bothered about this phone.what a pity. this little fellow can handle 2.3.7 like a champ. and whats even better, thanks to a developer called pyske83(he is a god among androidians :) ) he has successfully ported ice cream sandwich, (google's greatest os yet) on this beauty.. and it can seriously perform brilliantly. i am amazed with the speed and the ability to handle tough apps without a trouble. this phone actually shows that it is a force to be reckoned with.. the latest update.. as of 27th may 2012, camera, and tethering is not yet working.. but other than that this is a champ.. it can go on for another couple of years!! now that it has ics...

First off: Don't get your hopes up.
The phone has one of the slowest CPUs out there today. It's got an awful camera with a poor lens. The wifi connectivity is poor (and by "poor", I mean it's maybe 10-20ft (3-8m) in a straight line with no walls in the way. Maybe 10ft through a thin plasterboard wall.
GPS is also poor.
3G however is very good. The screen is pretty good - especially for the price. It won't hold a candle to the screen on a Galaxy S2, but for the price, you don't expect it to.
The internal memory is tiny and will barely hold the OS and updates, so a micro-SD is necessary, and you suffer from all of the inherent slowdowns of using one.
The screen is also very small compared to many other phones out there.
... Having said all of that, it's the cheapest phone around and is still very usable for nearly everything you'll want it to. It cannot run Flash, and has problems with many more intensive games (etc), but will watch YouTube (html5) just fine.
Value for money, at about £50 for an unlocked handset, with or without a SIM is spectacular. It's comparable to many phones you find for £70-90, and some of the contract deals are brilliant.
Just don't expect to connect to wifi to save yourself more money unless you can see the router while you're surfing.
(Once again I'll say - 3G is very good)

I'm using Samsung I5500 Galaxy 5 and it's really great. Nice features, nice pics, love the live wallpapers & everything.But my mms isn't working..can't send or receive mms. But my mobile internet's fine so it sort of makes up for it.

im currently using galaxy 5 I5503T the only problem for it is it has no flash but the browser is good i love this one when i open it's browser it's good for me but the problem is low internal memory i can only have few apps and selected games only i rooted it already and now it lags eventually.
this is my first internet capable handset so i love it so much!

I have been using Samsung Galaxy 5 for a year now, so far, i haven't encountered any problem using it and it's great. I've also upgraded it to Froyo. You can customize it, including the themes, wallpaper, and SMS by installing GO applications from play store. It's battery could last up to 2 days within normal use. Just don't forget to move your applications to your SD card since it has low RAM capacity :)

It is really nice. I would say I just miss the flash for the cammera, because the rest of the specifications are excelent.Eventhough it only has 2mpx, it takes nice pics. Its signal intense is really good!!

I Bought this phone Galaxy 5 two months ago i love it but the problem is when i switched it on and i need to call imegiatly it takes a while when it comes on the call but on the other hand i love it good job!
