You can install so many other keyboards - swype is best!

I am a huge Nokia fan so it took some serious thinking and consideration before I decided to buy this phone (cupcake version)and I have not been sorry at all. As a matter of fact, I'm glad GSM's review wasn't out by the time I bought the phone, because that might have swayed me NOT to buy it. Frankly, I love it - it is unbelievably user friendly and I think I got more than what I paid for. The phone is not perfect, but show me a phone out there that is. So what if the keyboard lags a bit when you turn the phone sideways, am I going to get rid of my husband because he doesn't pick up his sox? No, it's unimportant enough to live with. I played a lot with my phone the last few days (new phone and all that :)and the battery lasted 2 days. That is fine by me too - it's understandable that the more functions & apps you use on the phone the more battery it's going to use, live with it, deal with it and move on. The only complaint I have about this phone is the unbelievably short USB cable.

lag is not an issue if you use an alternate launcher like the HelixLauncher.its free on the market and u don't need to root. You can also get the 3d gallery or the flan gallery here (http://www.droid-life.com/downloads/ ).tried it and it works. no landscape or multitouch though. anyway, samsung should really put more effort into the pantheon launcher (or touchwiz) and the camera app. don't care much about pantheon. helix does the job and pretty well too

I bought this in Dubai, UAE. Doesn't have Android Market even though Manual says that. Calling Samsung support and they are not equipped to support this phone and doesn't have any knowledge. All most all apps crashes always. This was my first smart phone, never ever will I buy Samsung or Google phones. have used a friends Iphone which is far far better. They are also not providing any updates to 2.1 also. PC doesn't recognize USB after installing some apps, you have to reset the phone for USB to be detected by PC.This is a pure crap phone. I am not using the phone now, gone back to my Nokia 5310 which is far better.

darshan, 07 Apr 2010battery does nt last even for a day with gprs does anybody ... moreTips to conserve battery:
1 Lower screen brightness to lowest possible. Usage of the screen is the biggest battery drainer.
2 Lock the screen when not in use.
3 Download automatic task killer. Kill all apps in the menu except those absolutely necessary. Otherwise they will run in the background and drain battery.
                                        4. Switch to 2G if you don't need 3G.

That's all I have been doing. Hope it helps
