I'm reeeeally close to buying this phone. The thing is, if I buy it now, I got no intention of buying a new phone anytime soon, so the phone which i'm gonna buy now is supposed to last at least 3-4 years. Soooo, do you guys think i5700's hardware will last that long ? I rly need a phone that is going to LAST.
(Right now, I'm still using my SE T610, which is 6 years old and still kickin' :) )
Halp plz!

common chip, publish the review.
there seem to be a lot of guys waiting for ur review of this spica with android 2.1 on it (including me).
and again half of us can't make up our minds on whether to go for the samsung spica or the nokia 5800 (will appreciate if u help me chose between the two).
a lot of us guys are really banking on ur precise review of this spica.
i also need to know a bit about this android os.
i have been a s60 user for like 5 years now and can do almost everything on my n95.
i would like to know if the android os has the same scope for apps like it is on the s60 (lets forget about the UI ).
i mean i use a call recorder which automatically record phone calls,
i have this amazing symsmb app with which i can map a drive of my pc to my phone
i use an anti theft app which can send me the phone location if its stolen
i use a lot more apps but that would take me this night to write here.
the bottom line is, is android os good enough for such apps to be launched in the near future and
is the samsung spica good enough for around 6-7 apps always running in the background or as a service.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2010hi unfortunately, there is no white version available in in... moreRidiculously, in some other countries Samsung supplies only white version and potential customers can't buy black version at all. How does some retarded marketing people decide which color to supply? Why not to give color choice in every country rather than lose thousands of potential buyers because of not available black or white color here and there? Shame on Samsung. Come on guys, say "no" to wrong marketing strategy and just supply both colors in all countries: customers will decide themselves which color to choose. Trust me, you are loosing a lot of potential customers because of not giving them color choice.

sm.gurdeep, 04 Apr 2010I actually doubt full exchange support on android. I am not... moreHi Gurdeep, thanks for the reply.
I am used to iPod Touch with MS Exchange and would love to have a similar feature for Android.
I am actually looking at Nexus one as well, so I guess even that lacks the support.
